Dealey Plaza is a city park in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas, Texas. It is sometimes called the "birthplace of Dallas". It was also the location of the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963; 30 minutes after the shooting, Kennedy was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. The Dealey Plaza Historic District was named a National Historic Landmark on the 30th anniversary of the assassination, to preserve Dealey Plaza, street rights-of-way, and buildings and structures by the plaza visible from the assassination site, that have been identified as witness locations or as possible locations for the assassin.
Meramec State Park is a public recreation area located near Sullivan, Missouri, about 60 miles from St. Louis, along the Meramec River. The park has diverse ecosystems such as hardwood forests and glades. There are over 40 caves located throughout the park, the bedrock isdolomite. The most famous is Fisher Cave, located near the campgrounds. The park borders the Meramec Conservation Area.
Sam A. Baker State Park is a public recreation area encompassing 5,323 acres (2,154 ha) in the Saint Francois Mountains region of the Missouri Ozarks. The state park offers fishing, canoeing, swimming, camping, and trails for hiking and horseback riding. The visitor and nature center is housed in a historic building that was originally constructed as a stable in 1934.
Bennett Spring State Park is a public recreation area located in Bennett Springs, Missouri, twelve miles (19 km) west of Lebanon on Highway 64 in Dallas and Laclede counties. It is centered on the spring that flows into the Niangua River and gives the park its name. The spring averages 100 million gallons of daily flow. The park offers fly fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, and other activities.
Cuivre River State Park is a public recreation area covering more than 6,400 acres (2,600 ha) northeast of the city of Troy in the Lincoln Hills region of northeastern Missouri, United States. The state park's rugged landscapes range from native grasslands and savannas to limestone bluffs over looking forested hills. The park offers an extensive system of hiking trails plus swimming and camping facilities and is managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. It encompasses the Lincoln Hills Natural Area and two designated wild areas: Big Sugar Creek and Northwoods.
Jackson Lake Lodge is located near Moran in Grand Teton National Park, in the U.S. state of Wyoming. The lodge has 385 rooms, a restaurant, conference rooms, and offers numerous recreational opportunities. The lodge is owned by the National Park Service, and operated under contract by the Grand Teton Lodge Company. The Grand Teton Lodge Company also manages the Jenny Lake Lodge, as well as cabins, restaurants and other services at Colter Bay Village. The lodge is located east of Jackson Lake adjacent to prime moose habitat below the Jackson Lake Dam.
Lake of the Ozarks State Park is a Missouri state park on the Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks and is the largest state park in the state. This is also the most popular state park in Missouri, with over 2.5 million visitations in 2017.
The Cass Park Historic District is a historic district in Midtown Detroit, Michigan, consisting of 25 buildings along the streets of Temple, Ledyard, and 2nd, surrounding Cass Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 and designated a city of Detroit historic district in 2016.
Knob Noster State Park is a public recreation area covering 3,934 acres (1,592 ha) in Johnson County, Missouri, in the United States. The state park bears the name of the nearby town of Knob Noster, which itself is named for one of two small hills or "knobs" that rise up in an otherwise flat section of Missouri. Noster is a Latin adjective meaning "our"—therefore, Knob Noster translates as "our hill." A local Indian belief stated that the hills were "raised up as monuments to slain warriors." The park offers year-round camping, hiking, and fishing and is managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The Central City Commercial Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Central City, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 27 resources, which included 18 contributing buildings, one contributing object, and eight non-contributing buildings. The historic district exemplifies the importance transportation played in the development of the central business district.
Salter-Battle Hunting and Fishing Lodge, also known as Portsmouth Hunting and Fishing Club, is a historic hunting lodge located on Sheep Island near Ocracoke, Carteret County, North Carolina. It was built about 1945, and is a simple one-story, side-gable, frame building set on concrete piers. A gable-front, screened porch was added about 1948. Also on the property are a contributing cistern, storage shed, and cemetery with the graves of early settlers of the island (1810-1907).
The State Center Commercial Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in State Center, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. At the time of its nomination it contained 36 resources, which included 31 contributing buildings, two contributing structures, and three non-contributing buildings. The historic district covers the town's central business district. State Center is located at the highest point in Marshall County, midway between Marshalltown and Nevada. The town was established by the Cedar Rapids & Missouri Railroad on 80 acres (32 ha) of land in 1863. It was initially named "Centre Station," but William Barnes, the first railroad agent, changed the town's name to "State Centre."
The Adel Public Square Historic District, also known as The Square, is a nationally recognized historic district located in Adel, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. At the time of its nomination it contained 45 resources, which included 35 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and nine non-contributing buildings. Adel was platted in 1847 as the county seat for Dallas County. The population of the town expanded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the central business district expanded because of it. It reached its largest size in 1917 with some redevelopment occurring on the east side of the square after World War II.
Lacey-Keosauqua State Park is located southwest of Keosauqua, Iowa, United States. The park is located along the Des Moines River in Van Buren County. First dedicated in 1921, it is the largest state park in size in Iowa. In 1990, three areas were named nationally recognized historic districts and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Orie J. Smith Black and White Stock Farm Historic District is a historic farm and national historic district located near Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri. The district encompasses six contributing buildings and one contributing structures on a farm about three miles northeast of Kirksville. It developed between 1910 and 1919, and features a round bank barn with a self-supporting dome roof, constructed in 1913. The other contributing resources in the district are the farmhouse, an American Foursquare with Prairie School affinities (1917), a granary (1910), a poultry house (1918) and two ice houses, and a concrete bridge (1914)
Eugene G. Groves (1883–1967) was an American architect of Denver, Colorado. He was responsible for the design of civic and educational facilities throughout Colorado over a career spanning five decades.

The district includes 53 contributing buildings, a contributing site, and a contributing structure in the central business district of Pleasant Hill. It developed between about 1865 and 1959, and includes representative examples of Italianate, Jacobethan Revival, Colonial Revival, Classical Revival, and Modern Movement style architecture. Excelsior Springs Hall of Waters Commercial East Historic District is a national historic district located at Excelsior Springs, Clay County, Missouri. It encompasses 24 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures in the central business district of Excelsior Springs. The district developed between about 1894 and 1948, and includes representative examples of Victorian architecture. The central feature of the district, the separately listed Hall of Waters, is a five level, Art Deco / Depression Modern style reinforced concrete building. Other notable buildings include the Flanders Dry Goods Store, A.M. Howard Drug Store (1905-1909), Clay County State Bank (1906), The Huey Building (1908), Oriental Bazaar Gift Store (1908), The Excelsior Baths and Broadway Rooms, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge Hall, The Kennedy Building (1902), First National Bank Building, The Francis Hotel, and The Auditorium.
The Tobin Harbor Historic District is a small resort community, consisting of 12 private camps and a fishery, scattered among several islands at the northeast end of Isle Royale near Rock Harbor. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.
The Fayette County Courthouse Square Historic District in La Grange, Texas is a historic district roughly bounded by Main, Lafayette, Franklin, Colorado, Jefferson, Washington, and Crockett Streets. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 16, 2001. Two notable buildings in the district are the Fayette County Courthouse and Jail. Forty–seven buildings, three structures and four objects were identified as contributing to the historic nature of the district.
