Waverley; or, ’Tis Sixty Years Since is a historical novel by Walter Scott (1771–1832). Scott was already famous as a poet, and chose to publish Waverley anonymously in 1814 as his first venture into prose fiction. It is often regarded as one of the first historical novels in the Western tradition.
The Borough of Waverley is a local government district with borough status in Surrey, England. The council is based in the town of Godalming. The borough also contains the towns of Farnham and Haslemere and numerous villages, including the large village of Cranleigh, and surrounding rural areas. At the 2021 Census, the population of the borough was 128,200. The borough is named after Waverley Abbey, near Farnham. Large parts of the borough are within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Waverley Cemetery is a heritage-listed cemetery on top of the cliffs at Bronte in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Opened in 1877 and built by R. Watkins and P. Beddie, the cemetery is noted for its largely intact Victorian and Edwardian monuments. It is regularly cited as being one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. The cemetery contains the graves of many significant Australians including the poet Henry Lawson. Also known as General Cemetery Waverley, it was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 28 October 2016.

The line operates for approximately 19 hours a day with 24 hour service available on Friday and Saturday nights. Trains on the Glen Waverley line run with two three-car formations of X'Trapolis 100 trainsets.

In 1920, with the introduction of proportional representation, it was absorbed into Eastern Suburbs. Waverley was recreated in 1927. In 1959 parts of Waverly and Paddington were combined to form Paddington-Waverley, which was abolished in 1962 and replaced by Bligh. In 1971, Bondi and Randwick were abolished and partly replaced by a recreated Waverley. At the 1990 redistribution, Waverley was abolished again and absorbed into Coogee and Vaucluse.
