Yang Zhenchao (Chinese :杨振超; pinyin :Yāng Zhēnchāo;born August 1960) is a former Chinese politician,who served as Vice Governor of Anhui and Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of Huainan. He was dismissed from his position in May 2016 for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Yang was born in Jinzhai County,Anhui. He was graduated from Northeastern University and Renmin University of China and joined work in 1977. In 1983,he worked in Tongling Nonferrous Metals and became the manager from 1998 to 2003. He also served as director of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of Anhui and director of Economic Committee of Anhui. In 2007,he elected as Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of Huainan. In 2013,he was promoted to the post of Vice Governor of Anhui,ranked third;his tenure as vice-governor was said to be mediocre. [1]
On May 24,2016,Yang was placed under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection,the CCP's internal disciplinary body,for "serious violations of regulations". Yang was the third provincial-ministerial level official in Anhui implicated in the anti-corruption campaign under Xi Jinping and the first official of his seniority investigated during the second-round of inspections by the CCDI. [1] [2] He is expelled from the CCP on July 26,2016. [3] On May 3,2017,Yang was sentenced to life in prison for bribery,plundering the public fund and abuse of power. [4]
Guo Youming is a former Chinese politician from Hubei province. He served as the party secretary of Yichang in Hubei province between 2008 and 2011,and the vice-governor of Hubei from 2011 to 2014. In 2013,he was investigated for "serious disciplinary violations",a phrase usually denoting corruption,and subsequently expelled from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Fang Xiping is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in Anhui province. Between 2013 and 2014 he served as the Party Secretary of Huainan;in 2014,he was put on trial for corruption and eventually expelled from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Xu Gang is a former Chinese official who spent most of his career in Fujian province. He was the vice Governor of Fujian since 2013. On March 20,2015,Xu Gang was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. He was the first high-ranking politician being examined from Fujian province after the 18th Party Congress in 2012. In 2016,Xu was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Wei Minzhou is a Chinese politician who served as Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of Xi'an between 2012 and 2016.
Bai Xueshan is a former Chinese politician. He was the Vice Chairman of Ningxia since 2013. On November 6,2015,Bai was placed under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He was the first provincial-ministerial level official being examined from Ningxia after the 18th Party Congress in 2012. In 2017,Bai was sentenced to 15 years in prison for bribery.
Over one hundred officials of provincial-ministerial level and above have been implicated by the anti-corruption campaign in China,which began after the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party in 2012. The number of officials implicated below the provincial level are much higher. The tables on this list includes only officials for which a case has been initiated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Liu Zhigeng is a former Chinese politician. He was the Vice-Governor of Guangdong and the Communist Party Secretary of Dongguan. On February 4,2016,Liu was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. On April 18,2016,Liu Zhigeng was double opened and transferred to the judiciary.
Yang Luyu is a former Chinese politician,who served as Mayor of Jinan,Shandong Province. He was dismissed from his position in April 2016 for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Li Chengyun is a former Chinese politician who served as Vice-Governor of Sichuan from 2008 to 2011. He was convicted of corruption in 2017 and sentenced to ten years in prison.
Chen Shulong is a former Chinese politician,and Executive Vice Governor of Anhui. He was dismissed from his position in November 2016 for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Yu Haiyan is a former Chinese official. At the height of his career,he served as the Vice Governor of Gansu and Communist Party Secretary of Lanzhou. On January 11,2017,Yu was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. He was the second high-ranking politician being examined from Gansu province after the 18th Party Congress in 2012.
Chen Xu is a former Chinese prosecutor who served as the Prosecutor General of Shanghai People's Procuratorate from 2008 to 2016. He was investigated in March 2017 by the Communist Party's anti-graft agency,suspected of corruption.
Yang Chongyong is a former Chinese politician who spent his career in Yunnan and Hebei. He most recently held the post of the Vice-Chairman of the Hebei People's Congress. Previously,he held the post of the Vice Governor of Hebei and Communist Party Secretary of Kunming. He was investigated by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-graft agency in April 2017. He was accused of taking 206 million RMB bribery according to The Second People's Court of Tianjin,2018.
Zhou Chunyu is a former Chinese politician,and Vice Governor of Anhui. He was dismissed from his position in April 2017 for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Liu Qiang is a Chinese politician who spent his entire career in his home province Liaoning in northeast China. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in April 1986 and entered the workforce in July 1990. He was investigated by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-graft agency in November 2017. At the height of his career,he served as vice-governor of Liaoning. He was a delegate to the 10th National People's Congress and 11th National People's Congress. He was also a delegate to the 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He is the first sitting senior official to be probed for suspected graft since the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on October 24,2017.
Ji Xiangqi is a former Chinese politician and business executive. He was the Vice Governor of Shandong and the President of Shandong Commercial Group. On January 4,2018,Ji Xiangqi was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency.
Pu Bo is a former Chinese politician who served as Vice Governor of Guizhou. He was dismissed from his position in May 2018 and placed under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
Li Qian is a former Chinese politician who spent his whole career in north China's Hebei province. He entered the workforce in March 1976,and joined the Chinese Communist Party in May 1983. As of August 2019 he was under investigation by the top anti-graft body,the Chinese Communist Party Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. Previously he served as vice-governor of Hebei.
Zhang Jian is a Chinese judge who served as president of Anhui Provincial People's Court from 2013 to 2018. He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in August 2019. He was a delegate to the 12th National People's Congress.
Yang Fulin is a former Chinese military officer and politician who served as deputy commander of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from 2015 to 2017. He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in July 2021.
