The 1996 Labatt Brier was held at the Riverside Coliseum in Kamloops, British Columbia. Prince Edward Island defeated Newfoundland in a tie-breaker to win the 4th seed in the playoffs. Jeff Stoughton of Manitoba defeated Kevin Martin of Alberta through extra ends, stealing one in the 11th end to win 8-7.

Robin Bo Carl Söderling is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. He reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world No. 4 singles ranking on 15 November 2010. His career highlights include reaching two consecutive finals at the French Open in 2009 and 2010, and an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title at the 2010 Paris Masters. He was the first player to defeat Rafael Nadal at the French Open. Soderling played his last professional game at only age 26 after contracting a lingering bout of mononucleosis.

Tomáš Berdych Czech tennis player

Tomáš Berdych is a Czech former professional tennis player. His most notable achievement was reaching the final of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, causing consecutive upsets by defeating top seed and six-time champion Roger Federer in the quarterfinals, and No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. Brad Gushue Canadian curler

Bradley Raymond "Brad" Gushue, ONL is a Canadian curler from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. Gushue, along with teammates Russ Howard, Mark Nichols, Jamie Korab and Mike Adam, represented Canada in curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where they won the gold medal by defeating Finland 10–4. He is also the 2017, 2018, and 2020 Tim Hortons Brier champion with teammates Mark Nichols, Brett Gallant, and Geoff Walker. Their win in 2017 was Newfoundland and Labrador's first Brier title in 41 years. Gushue and his rink also won 2017 Ford World Men's Curling Championship. At the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier Gushue set a new record for Brier game wins as a skip, breaking a three-way tie with previous record-holders Russ Howard and Kevin Martin.

Nicolas Mahut French tennis player

Nicolas Pierre Armand Mahut is a French professional tennis player. In singles, he reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking of world No. 37 on 5 May 2014. In doubles, he reached a career-high ATP ranking of world No. 1 on 6 June 2016. Mahut is well known for being skilled on grass, on which he has won the fourth-most titles amongst active players in singles behind Roger Federer (19), Andy Murray (8) and Novak Djokovic (5) and tying with Rafael Nadal (4); he also has the 2nd most singles titles on grass won over the age of 30 amongst active players, behind Federer (5). He is a distinguished doubles player, having completed the Career Grand Slam at the 2019 Australian Open, following victories at the 2015 US Open, 2016 Wimbledon Championships and 2018 French Open partnering Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Mahut was a part of the longest match in professional tennis history against John Isner in the first round of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships.

Guillermo García López is a professional tennis player from Spain. He has won five singles titles and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 23 in February 2011.

Horacio Zeballos Argentine tennis player

Horacio Zeballos Jr. is a professional tennis player from Argentina on the men's circuit. His career-high singles ranking is world no. 39. His highest doubles ranking to date has been world no. 3 in September 2019. He has played most of his singles tennis in Challenger events. He qualified for the US Open and defeated Michael Berrer in the first round for his first win at Grand Slam level, and then lost to Tomáš Berdych in four sets in the second round.

Emma Kathryn Miskew is a Canadian curler. She is the long-time third of the three-time Canadian champion and 2017 world champion Rachel Homan rink. The Homan team represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Lisa Colleen Weagle is a Canadian curler from Ottawa, Ontario. Weagle was the lead on the Rachel Homan team from 2010 until March 12, 2020 when the team announced they would be parting ways with her. Weagle is known for her ability to make the eponymous "Weagle" shot, which the Homan rink had used in high frequency since 2013.

2011 European Curling Championships

The 2011 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Moscow, Russia from December 2 to 10. The Group C competitions were held from September 30 to October 8 in Tårnby, Denmark.

2012 European Curling Championships

The 2012 European Curling Championships was held from December 7 to 15 at the Löfbergs Lila Arena and the Karlstad Curling Club in Karlstad, Sweden. The Group A competitions was held at the Löfbergs Lila Arena, while the Group B competitions was held at the Karlstad Curling Club. The 2012 European Curling Championships marked the fourth time that Sweden hosted the European Curling Championships. The Group C competitions were held from October 5 to 10 in Erzurum, Turkey.

Joanne Courtney Canadian curler

Lorenzo Sonego Italian tennis player

Lorenzo Sonego is an Italian professional tennis player. Sonego has a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 32. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 222 achieved on 19 October 2020. Sonego made his ATP main-draw debut at the 2016 Internazionali BNL d'Italia, where he received a main-draw wildcard.
