The 2025 Saskatchewan Roughriders season is scheduled to be the 67th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. It is the club's 116th year overall, and its 109th season of play. The Roughriders will attempt to qualify for the playoffs for the second consecutive season and win their fifth Grey Cup championship.
The 2025 CFL season will be the second season under head coach Corey Mace and fifth season under general manager Jeremy O'Day. [1] [2]
The 2025 CFL draft is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2025. [3] The Roughriders are scheduled to have eight selections in the eight-round draft. Not including traded picks or forfeitures, the team will select sixth in each round of the draft after finishing fourth in the 2024 league standings. [4]

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division. The Roughriders were founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club. Although Saskatchewan was not the first team to play football in Western Canada, the club has maintained an unbroken organizational continuity since their founding. The Roughriders are the fourth-oldest professional gridiron football team in existence today. The Roughriders are both the oldest professional sports team still in existence that continuously has been based in Western Canada and the oldest in North America to continuously have been based west of St. Louis, Missouri. The team changed their name to the Regina Roughriders in 1924, and to the current moniker in 1946. The Roughriders played their home games at historic Taylor Field from 1936 to 2016; in 2017, the team moved to the newly constructed Mosaic Stadium at Evraz Place.
The 2007 CFL season was the 54th season of modern-day Canadian football, the 50th season of the Canadian Football League, and many special events were held to commemorate the event. Regular-season play began on June 28 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario and concluded on November 3. The playoffs began on November 11 and ended with the championship game, the 95th Grey Cup, at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, on November 25, 2007, with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as champions.
Corey Grant is the head coach for the Carleton Ravens football team of U Sports. He is a former professional wide receiver in the Canadian Football League where he played for 11 years and won two Grey Cup championships.
Jason Shivers [SHY-verz] is an American professional football coach and former player. He was most recently the assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, and linebackers coach for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Shivers played professionally as a defensive back in the CFL, National Football League (NFL), and NFL Europe. He was originally selected by the St. Louis Rams in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL draft. He was also a member of the Chicago Bears, Hamburg Sea Devils, New York Giants, Toronto Argonauts, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Corey Mace is a Canadian professional football coach and former player who is the head coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played as a defensive tackle in the CFL and National Football League (NFL). Mace played college football for the Wyoming Cowboys. He was signed by the NFL's Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2007.
Jeremy O'Day is the current Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and a former Canadian Football League offensive lineman. He grew up in Lockport, New York, playing high school football at Lockport High School. O'Day played in college at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.
Craig Dickenson is a professional football coach who is the special teams coordinator for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also served as the head coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for four seasons. He has coached professional football since 2000 and won a Grey Cup championship with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders in 2008 and with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2015.
The 2018 Winnipeg Blue Bombers season was the 61st season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 86th season overall. This was the fifth season under head coach Mike O'Shea and the fifth full season under general manager Kyle Walters. Following a week 20 win over the Calgary Stampeders, the Blue Bombers qualified for the playoffs for the third consecutive season, rebounding from a 5–7 record to start the season. The Blue Bombers defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Division Semi-Final to start the postseason and appeared in their first Division Final since 2011, playing against the Stampeders in the 2018 edition. The team lost against the Stampeders 22–14, extending the franchise's Grey Cup drought for a 28th year.

The Blue Bombers defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Final and appeared in their fifth consecutive Grey Cup game. However, the team lost in the 111th Grey Cup to the Toronto Argonauts, resulting in their third consecutive loss.
The 2025 CFL national draft is a selection of national players by Canadian Football League teams that is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2025. Seventy-two players are scheduled to be chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. That number is subject to change if there are any more forfeited selections.
