Background

The 2022 Oklahoma City mayoral election resulted in the re-election of Mayor David Holt, who was first elected in 2018. His current term ends on May 5, 2026. [1]

There are no term limits for the office of mayor in Oklahoma City and each term is four years. [1] The 2026 Oklahoma City mayoral election is scheduled to take place on February 10, 2026, with candidate filing set for December 1–3, 2025. If no candidate receives a majority vote in February a runoff is scheduled for April 7, 2026. [1] [2]
