Mount Vernon is a city in and the county seat of Jefferson County, Illinois, United States. The population was 14,600 at the 2020 census. Mount Vernon is the principal city of the Mount Vernon Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Jefferson and Hamilton counties.

The home was added to the register in 1982 due to its affiliation with the descendants of 19th century U.S. Supreme Court justice and Bloomington native David Davis, namely Illinois state senator David Davis IV. The house is not only listed on the National Register but it is also a contributing property to the local Davis-Jefferson Historic District.
The Ruben M. Benjamin House is a house in Bloomington, Illinois. It is a two-story rectangular building, styled in the Classical Revival architectural motif. It was built in 1856 John L. Routt, who would become the first governor of Colorado. Ruben M. Benjamin, an attorney known for litigation relating to railroad regulation, lived in the home for more than 60 years. The United States National Register of Historic Places added the Ruben M. Benjamin House in August 1978.
The C. H. Judd House is a historic farmhouse located in rural Jefferson County, Illinois, near the village of Belle Rive. The brick Victorian home was constructed in 1881. Most farmhouses constructed in Jefferson County in the 1880s were frame buildings, and few houses were built of sturdier brick. Furthermore, the majority of the brick farmhouses were either destroyed in an 1888 tornado or demolished, and the Judd House is the only surviving brick farmhouse from the era. The house was the home of C. H. Judd, a wealth farmer and local politician.

Washington Park Historic District, also known as Washington Square is a historic district in and around Washington Park in the city of Ottawa, Illinois, United States. Washington Park was the site of the first Lincoln-Douglas debates of 1858 and is surrounded by several historic structures. The park was platted in 1831 and the historic district was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

It was established in 1818 per the terms of the first constitution of the state and was known as the High Court of Errors and Appeals from 1832 to 1869. The court is an appellate court. It is housed in the Carroll Gartin Justice Building in Jackson, Mississippi, the state capital. The court consists of nine justices elected in nonpartisan contests from three different districts to serve eight-year terms. The justice most senior in tenure serves as the chief justice.

Located in the district are the separately listed Missouri State Capitol, Lohman's Landing Building, Cole County Historical Society Building, Cole County Courthouse and Jail-Sheriff's House, Missouri Governor's Mansion, and Tergin Apartment Building.
