The AFC Women's Futsal Championship is the premier national women's futsal competition of the Asian Football Confederation nations. Iran have won both editions held to date.

Contents

The first edition was held in Malaysia from 17 to 26 September 2015. [1] [2] The second edition was held in Thailand from 2 to 12 May 2018. [3] The third edition was scheduled to be held in Kuwait in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [4]

Iran won in the 2015 final over Japan. [5]

The Union of European Football Associations is the administrative body for association football, futsal and beach soccer in Europe, although several member states are primarily or entirely located in Asia. It is one of six continental confederations of world football's governing body FIFA. UEFA consists of 55 national association members.

Asian Football Confederation International governing body for association football in Asia

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is one of the six continental confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member countries, mostly located on the Asian continent, but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey – which are instead members of UEFA. West Asian Football Federation governing body of association football in Western Asia

The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF), founded in 2001, is an association of the football playing nations in Western Asia. Its founding members are Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. In 2009, three more associations joined the federation: Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Four other nations of Western Asia: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia joined in 2010. Iran left the federation on 10 June 2014 with the creation of Central Asian Football Federation.

AFC U-19 Championship

The AFC U-19 Championship, formerly known as the AFC Youth Championship, is a biennial international association football competition organised by the sport's Asian governing body, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The competition has been held since 1959. Between 1959 and 1978 the tournament was held annually, since 1980 it has been held every two years.

AFC Futsal Championship national futsal competition of the Asian Football Confederation nations

The AFC Futsal Championship is the premier international futsal competition for the Asian Football Confederation national teams. It was first held in 1999 and was played annually until 2008; since then it has been played biennially.

The Iran national futsal team represents Iran in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Iranian Football Federation. The "Kings of Asian Futsal" are by far the strongest Asian team and one of the best teams in the world according to the Futsal World Ranking.

The Thailand national futsal team represents Thailand in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Football Association of Thailand.

The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current annual Asian futsal club competition hosted by the Asian Football Confederation.

The Vietnam national futsal team represents Vietnam in international futsal and is governed by Vietnam Football Federation.

The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship was the 14th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in Uzbekistan between 10–21 February 2016. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament.

The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was a men's futsal competition which decided the participating teams of the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan (hosts), who qualified directly as the top three finishers of the 2014 AFC Futsal Championship. Since third-placed Uzbekistan qualified automatically as hosts, Kuwait, who finished fourth, would have also qualified as the next best-ranked team, but they were later replaced due to FIFA's suspension of the Kuwait Football Association.

The 2015 AFC Women's Futsal Championship was the first edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in Nilai, Malaysia between September 21–26, 2015.

The 2020 AFC Futsal Championship will be the 16th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's national teams of Asia. A total of 16 teams will take part in the tournament.

2020 AFC U-19 Championship

The 2020 AFC U-19 Championship will be the 41st edition of the AFC U-19 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-19 national teams of Asia. It will take place in Uzbekistan, which was appointed as the host by the AFC on 17 September 2019. It was originally scheduled between 14–31 October 2020, but the AFC announced on 10 September 2020 that the tournament would be postponed to early 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It will be hosted by Indonesia between 20 May and 12 June 2021, which will be the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country..

2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

The 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the 11th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer championship contested by men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. Previous editions before 2005 were not governed by FIFA and were held under the title Beach Soccer World Championships. Overall this will be the 21st edition of the championship since its establishment in 1995. This will be the sixth tournament to take place biennially; the World Cup took place annually until 2009.

The 2020 AFC Women's Futsal Championship will be the third edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. Kuwait was confirmed by the AFC as tournament hosts on 18 March 2020. The tournament was originally scheduled between 2–12 July 2020, but had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 AFC Futsal Club Championship will be the 11th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, the annual international futsal club championship in Asia organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The 2021 AFC Beach Soccer Championship will be the 10th edition of the AFC Beach Soccer Championship, the premier beach soccer tournament contested by Asian men's national teams, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The 2021 AFC U-20 Championship will be the third edition of AFC U-20 Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's youth national futsal teams of Asia. The tournament was originally scheduled between 22–30 May 2021, but had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
