Abajah is a village in Imo State, Nigeria. [1] It is in the Nwangele Local Government Area.[ citation needed ]

The village is the location of a nine-meter-high statue, Jesus de Greatest. [1]

Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida sculpted the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) high, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. Christ the King is a statue of Jesus Christ in Świebodzin, western Poland, completed on 6 November 2010. The figure is 33 metres (108 ft) tall, the crown is 3 metres (9.8 ft) tall, and along with its mound, it reaches 52.5 metres (172 ft) overall. It took five years in total to construct and cost around $1.5 million to build, which was collected from donations of the 21,000 residents of the town. The project was conceived and led by Sylwester Zawadzki, a retired Polish priest. Cauchi was commissioned to perform this work by a committee of divers led by Raniero Borg to honour the visit of Pope John Paul II to Malta in 1990. The statue is modeled on the bronze Christ of the Abyss at San Fruttuoso, Italy and is one of many copies in locations around the world.

Homeless Jesus, also known as Jesus the Homeless, is a bronze sculpture by Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz depicting Jesus as a homeless person, sleeping on a park bench. The original sculpture was installed at Regis College, University of Toronto, in early 2013. Other casts have since been installed at many places across the world.

Jesus de Greatest is a statue of Jesus Christ located in Abajah village in Imo State, Nigeria. It is considered "Africa’s largest statue of Jesus", and is the fifth tallest statue on the African continent. The 160 foot African Renaissance Monument is the tallest statue in Africa, the 66 foot Great Sphinx of Giza is second, the 30 foot Statue of Ramesses II is third, and the 28 foot Nelson Mandela statue is fourth. Jesus de Greatest is not the tallest statue of Jesus in the world; that is Jesus Buntu Burake in Indonesia, which is 120 feet taller.

Okukor is the name given to a bronze statue of a cock from West Africa, held by Jesus College, Cambridge, from 1905 to 2021. One of the Benin bronzes, it was taken from the Kingdom of Benin during the Benin Expedition of 1897, a punitive expedition dispatched to punish the Oba of Benin after a Royal Niger Company delegation was ambushed and killed. It became controversial in 2016 as an example of looted art, with demands that the statue be repatriated back to Nigeria. It was transferred to Ewuare II, Oba of Benin, and Nigeria's National Commission for Museums and Monuments by Jesus College in 2021.
