Anzac railway station is a rapid transit station currently under construction as part of the Metro Tunnel in Melbourne, Victoria. The station is named for the nearby Shrine of Remembrance and in honour of the Anzac spirit of service and sacrifice. [1] It is being built using the cut-and-cover method.
Originally known as Domain, construction on the station commenced in 2018 and is expected to open in 2025. [2] [3] [4] The station will provide a direct platform transfer to services on the busy tram corridor along St Kilda Road and will provide access to the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park. It sits in the suburb of South Yarra.
Anzac station is being built below St Kilda Road in the suburb of South Yarra, and is planned to feature four entrances.
The station will also feature the first platform-to-platform connection between trains and trams in Melbourne, as half of all passengers are expected to interchange between the two modes of transport. [5] The Anzac Station tram stop opened to passengers on the 19 December 2022, [6] although a major tram stop known as Domain Interchange existed on the same site prior to Metro Tunnel construction. The train station underneath remains under construction.
During the construction period the Domain Road tram line, Domain Interchange tram stop was demolished and rebuilt as Anzac Station. [7] [8]
The station entrance features a large wooden canopy designed by RSHP, Hassell and Weston Williamson. [9]

Yarra Trams operates eight routes via the tram/train interchange
Parliament railway station is a commuter railway station adjacent to the border of both the suburb of East Melbourne and the Melbourne CBD in Victoria, Australia. The station has two island platforms in a two-floor configuration connected to street level via two underground concourses.

The station consists of an island platform and two side platforms all accessed by a pedestrian bridge. There are two principal station buildings located on the central platform and on platform 4, consisting of a small two and one-story brick buildings. These buildings were provided in 1914, as ticketing and staff offices. The station is only partially accessible due to a multiple steep access ramps.

The station is located on the southern border of Malvern, a suburb of Melbourne, and was opened on 7 May 1879. The station complex consists of an island platform and two side platforms all accessed by a pedestrian bridge. There are two red brick Edwardian-era station buildings, constructed in 1914 as ticketing and staff offices. The entire complex is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register because of its architectural significance and its role in the development of Malvern as a significant metropolitan centre. Proposals for expansion of the Melbourne rail network are commonly presented by political parties, government agencies, industry organisations and public transport advocacy groups. The extensions proposed take a variety of forms: electrification of existing routes to incorporate them into the suburban rail system; reconstruction of former passenger rail lines along pre-existing easements; entirely new routes intended to serve new areas with heavy rail or provide alternative routes in congested areas; or track amplification along existing routes to provide segregation of services. Other proposals are for the construction of new or relocated stations on existing lines, to provide improved access to public transport services.

Melbourne tram route 5 is operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Melbourne University to Malvern. The 12.6-kilometre (7.8 mi) route is operated out of Malvern depot with Z and D1 class trams.
Melbourne tram route 16 is operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Melbourne University to Kew. The 20.2 kilometre route is operated out of Malvern depot with Z and D1 class trams.
Melbourne tram route 67 is operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Melbourne University to Carnegie. The 12.7-kilometre (7.9 mi) route is operated out of Glenhuntly depot with Z and B class trams.
Route 55 was a tram route on the Melbourne tram network. The 12.5 kilometre route operated between Coburg West and Domain Interchange, was operated out of Essendon depot with Z and B-class trams. It ceased on 30 April 2017 and was replaced by route 58.
Melbourne tram route 3 is operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Melbourne University to Malvern East. The 14.9-kilometre (9.3 mi) route is operated out of Glenhuntly depot with Z and B class trams. On weekends route 3 operates as route 3a and diverts via St Kilda Beach.
Melbourne tram route 64 is operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Melbourne University to Brighton East. The 18.1 kilometre route is operated out of Glenhuntly depot with Z and B class trams.
Melbourne tram route 8 was operated by Yarra Trams on the Melbourne tram network from Moreland to Toorak. The 15.7 kilometre route was operated out of Brunswick and Malvern depots with Z, B and D1 class trams. It ceased on 30 April 2017 and was replaced by routes route 6 and route 58.
The Metro Tunnel is a metropolitan rail infrastructure project currently under construction in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It includes the construction of twin 9-kilometre (5.6 mi) rail tunnels between South Kensington and South Yarra with five new underground stations. The tunnel will connect the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines with the Sunbury line, creating a new cross-city line that bypasses Flinders Street station and the City Loop. The line is also planned to serve Melbourne Airport via a new branch line west of Sunshine station.
Domain Interchange was a major interchange on the Melbourne tram system. It featured two island platforms with four tracks, and had dedicated turning tracks and through tracks. It was located on St Kilda Road between Domain Road and Park Street, adjacent to Kings Domain, and was one of the busiest interchanges on the system, being used by eight tram routes. The most recent structure was opened in April 2013, replacing an earlier structure built in 1986.

State Library railway station is a railway station currently under construction as part of the Metro Tunnel project in Melbourne, Victoria. The station will serve the northern end of the Melbourne central business district (CBD) and is adjacent to the existing Melbourne Central station on the City Loop. State Library will directly connect with Melbourne Central via an underground paid-area connection.

Anzac Station tram stop is a major interchange on the Melbourne tram network. It is located on St Kilda Road south of Domain Road, adjacent to Kings Domain. It is one of the busiest interchanges on the system, being used by eight tram routes. It opened in December 2022 on top of Anzac railway station as a replacement for Domain Interchange that was demolished in 2018 to allow the Metro Tunnel to be built.
