Axilor Ventures is a new generation platform for supporting early stage entrepreneurs. Founded by S.D. Shibulal, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Srinath Batni, Professor Tarun Khanna and Ganapathy Venugopal. Through its programs which include Accelerator, Scale-up and Early Stage Funding, Axilor aims to support early stage entrepreneurs and improve their odds of success. History

Axilor Ventures is a platform for supporting early stage startups. Through its accelerator and seed fund programs, it helps early stage startups improve their odds of success. It was founded by some of the iconic entrepreneurs and business leaders, which include Kris Gopalakrishnan, S D Shibulal, Professor Tarun Khanna, Srinath Batni and Ganapathy Venugopal. In the last two years, it has supported more than 80 startups, made 25 investments and has an active Alumni network of 150+ founders. Axilor works with startups in 5 sectors: Enterprise, Fintech, Consumer Internet, DeepTech/ AI and Healthtech.

Programs

Axilor's Accelerator program, is a 100-day program for early stage entrepreneurs. The start-ups receive working space, advice, and connections without any equity dilution during the 100-day program. Axilor has a framework that helps entrepreneurs improve their odds of success. This is focused around the following areas: launching the startup the right way, access to the right capital at the right stage, dedicated mentorship, access to the Axilor peer community of entrepreneurs, and a series of masterclasses from industry experts to help learn how great startups are built and what mistakes to avoid. As of April 2016, 19 startups have gone through the accelerator program including PlaceOfOrigin, [5] LetsPool, StoreWalk, Awesummly, Peersome, Perapy and many others. . In addition, Axilor also invests between INR 30 lakh and INR 6 crore ($50,000 and $1 million) each in startups as part of the Scale-up and Early Stage funding programs. As of April 2016, 5 startups have been funded including Murgency, [6] Eventshigh, [7] Petoo, [8] [9] Sellerworx, [10] and EasyFix. [11]

Axilor was founded by S.D. Shibulal, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Srinath Batni, Professor Tarun Khanna and Ganapathy Venugopal with Kris as its Chairman and Ganapathy as the CEO. [12] [13] Payal Shah heads investments at Axilor. Previously, Asutosh Upadhyay led the Accelerator program at Axilor.

Kris Gopalakrishnan Indian billionaire

Senapathy “Kris” Gopalakrishnan is widely recognized as a global business and technology thought leader for his role in growing the IT services industry worldwide. He co-founded Infosys, where he served as the chief executive officer and managing director from 2007 to 2011, and as vice chairman from 2011 to 2014. Following his retirement from Infosys, Kris has been very active in promoting the Indian startup ecosystem, and philanthropically supporting research on brain sciences, aging related disorders, and healthcare in India. He has also been on the Board of Trustees for the Infosys Science Foundation from 2009, and currently serves as the President of the Board.

Techstars is an American seed accelerator founded in 2006 in Boulder, Colorado. As of 2019, the company had accepted over 1,600 companies into its programs with a combined market capitalization of $18.2bn USD. Fewer than 1% of the over 17,000 applicants are accepted.

S. D. Shibulal

S. D. Shibulal, better known as Shibulal, is an Indian business executive. He was the chief executive officer and managing director of Infosys, and one of its seven founding members. He stepped down from the post of CEO and MD on 31 July 2014 and was succeeded by the first non-founder CEO of Infosys Dr. Vishal Sikka. He is the president of the Infosys Science Foundation for the year 2015.

Tarun Khanna is an Indian-born American academic, author, and an economic strategist. He is currently the Jorge Paulo Lemann professor at Harvard Business School; where he is a member of the strategy group, and the director of Harvard University’s South Asia initiative since 2010.

Freecharge Digital marketplace for financial services based in India

Freecharge, is a financial services company based in Gurugram, Haryana, India. Freecharge services are used for savings, payments, insurance, investment and lending. Mach 37 American venture capital organization assisting startups

MACH37 is an American startup accelerator that was established in 2013 as a division of the Virginia-based Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) with funding from the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2017 CIT partnered with VentureScope, a strategic innovation consultancy and venture firm, to revamp MACH37's operating model and curriculum. Following a successful partnership between CIT and VentureScope, MACH37 became fully owned and operated by VentureScope in 2020. MACH37 focuses primarily on honing and strengthening startups' product-market fit through extensive customer discovery and market research, expanding emerging companies' professional networks, fostering founder wellbeing, and providing emerging companies in the cyber security industry with access to investment capital and an immediate customer base. In an October 2020 article Forbes named MACH37 'the Granddaddy' of top cyber accelerators giving a nod to the fact that MACH37 was one of the first accelerators in the world dedicated to cyber and cyber adjacent technologies and it has lasted far longer than many of its peer accelerators while strengthening over time. The name 'MACH37' is a reference to the escape velocity of Earth's atmosphere. VentureScope applies Lean Startup methodology at MACH37 as an efficient and successful approach to assist startups to rapidly adapt their search for a successful business model and test their hypotheses about customer needs and market demands.

IGP (e-gifting retailer) Indian multinational e-commerce company

IGP is an online retailer of personalised, floral, gourmet and handmade gifting products. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, India and has offices in India, Singapore and the United States.

Ventures Platform is a Pan - African early stage fund focused on supporting post MVP teams to grow their startups.

Indian Angel Network (IAN) is a group of primarily Indian angel investors funding early-stage startups. The group had 450 members from 11 countries in 2017. The members include Ajai Chowdhry, Rajan Anandan, and Anand Ladsairya. The group has invested in companies, such as PregBuddy and SuperProfs. In 2018, one of its founder Padmaja Ruparel was ranked amongst Fortune (magazine)'s list of The Most Powerful Women in India. On Nov.8th 2020, Indian Angel Network (IAN) announced the joint with Bangladesh Angels Network (BAN). The aim is to work together to source, cross-refer, and promote linkages in technology-enabled startups in India and Bangladesh to create an enabling environment for venture investing in both ecosystems.

ANSR Consulting Inc. is a consulting firm based in Dallas, USA and has its operating subsidiary in Bengaluru, India. Established in 2004 by Lalit Ahuja, ANSR establishes global capability centers (GCCs), also known as captive centers, in India. In 2017, the Andhra Pradesh cabinet authorized ANSR to establish the largest financial technology facility in Visakhapatnam.
