The Behrman Ranch, near Buena Vista, Colorado, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. [1]

It has seven contributing resources, including an original log home built during 1919-20 and a bunkhouse built around 1920. [2]

The original house is a one-story 66 by 53 feet (20 m × 16 m) building, on a masonry foundation, built of square-cut pine logs, and is covered in part by wood shingles and cobblestones. It was expanded in 1942 and 1964 with round pine log additions, with chinking, built upon concrete foundations. [2]

The property includes the site of a c.1882 bridge and the remains of a stagecoach road which ran across it. [2] It includes three contributing structures: an irrigation lateral ditch, a cobblestone-lined pit used in preparing and rendering hogs after butchering, and a cobblestone wall. [2]

According to History Colorado, the property is significant:

for its association with the Behrman family and the part the played in developing a productive farming property in the Upper Arkansas River Valley. / The Behrman family are a part of a long agricultural tradition that is indicative of the agricultural heritage of the region. The importance of water, irrigation systems, machinery, livestock, and cooperation with neighbors is apparent when studying the Behrman Ranch. [3]

It is located on U.S. Route 24 and on the Arkansas River, [3] about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Buena Vista.

Buena Vista Hotel (Safford, Arizona) United States historic place

The historic Buena Vista Hotel in Safford, Arizona was built in 1928 at cost of $80,000. The 2-story, 46-room hotel was built by Fred and Minta Waughtal, who owned the nearby Olive Hotel, and opened Oct. 15, 1929. It featured swimming pool and two bars; the Tap Room, and the Matador Room, which both featured live music and entertainment, including jazz and country and western music. The hotel closed in 1979 and was damaged in a fire. The building was demolished in 1994.

The historical buildings and structures of Zion National Park represent a variety of buildings, interpretive structures, signs and infrastructure associated with the National Park Service's operations in Zion National Park, Utah. Structures vary in size and scale from the Zion Lodge to road culverts and curbs, nearly all of which were designed using native materials and regional construction techniques in an adapted version of the National Park Service Rustic style. Buena Vista Colored School is a historic school building for African American children located at Buena Vista, Virginia. It was built in 1914, and expanded in 1926. It is a one-story, brick structure with a hipped, sheet metal roof. Also on the property is a contributing brick outbuilding once used to store wood and coal. The building served as the only local school for African American children in grades 1–7 from 1914 to 1957. The Buena Vista Colored School Historical Society was organized in 2002 to restore the school as a museum and community center.

The Walter Cliff Ranch District, at 7635 Old HW 395 in Washoe Valley, Nevada is a historic site that was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It has significance dating from c.1870, when the house was built. The listing included two contributing buildings: the house and a root cellar/residence building.

The Frey Ranch, at 1140 W. Peckham Ln. near Reno, Nevada, dates from 1870, when a 240 acres (97 ha) ranch was founded. A 1 acre (0.40 ha) site of its main house, including Late Victorian architecture, survives. Buena Vista (Roanoke, Virginia) United States historic place

Buena Vista is a historic plantation house located in Roanoke, Virginia. It was built about 1840, and is a two-story, brick Greek Revival style dwelling with a shallow hipped roof and two-story, three-bay wing. The front facade features a massive two-story diastyle Greek Doric order portico. Buena Vista was built for George Plater Tayloe and his wife, Mary (Langhorne) Tayloe. George was the son of John Tayloe III and Anne Ogle Tayloe of the noted plantation Mount Airy in Richmond County and who built The Octagon House in Washington D.C. The property was acquired by the City of Roanoke in 1937, and was used as a city park and recreation center.
