The Carlisle Rock Island Depot is a historic railroad station at Main and Court Streets in Carlisle, Arkansas. [2]
The Carlisle Rock Island Depot is a 1+1⁄2-story masonry and frame structure, finished in brick with half-timbered stucco. A passenger station, it was organized with a central service area for ticketing and telegrapher's bay, with waiting rooms on either side, one for whites, and one for African-Americans. The station was built about 1920 by the Rock Island Railroad; it is a prominent local example of Tudor Revival style, and is historically significant for its role in the growth of the city of Carlisle. [3] The station played a significant role in Arkansas history when publicity campaigns were ran in Illinois and Iowa encouraging people to move to Arkansas during the boom years of 1905-1920. [4]

The Rock Island Depot and Freight House is a two-story railroad station and adjacent one-story freight house from the turn of the 20th century. It was constructed in 1899 directly besides the Illinois River in the American city of Peoria, Illinois. The depot and freight house are one of Peoria's last remaining historic reminders of the importance of passenger trains in the city's past, the other being the newer (1967) Rock Island station at 121 Morton Street now owned by the City of Peoria. The depot was built by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad as the terminus of a major branch line that delivered significant goods and passengers to Peoria. The 1900 opening of the depot was attended by "throngs of populous;" at its height before the depression of the 1880s, Peoria was a transportation hub. The station's clock tower was removed in 1939. The buildings were listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The last Rock Island train out of the station was the Peoria Rocket in 1978, of the company's Rock Island Rockets series.

The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Passenger Station is a historic building located in Iowa City, Iowa, United States. Built in 1898 for passenger use, it was the second depot in the city. The first one was built by the Mississippi and Missouri Railroad, a predecessor of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad (CRI&P), in 1855. This one was built through the efforts of Harry Breene, the local Rock Island agent. W.K. McFarlin, CRI&P's superintendent of maintenance and construction oversaw the building's construction. Architecturally, it is a combination of the Richardsonian Romanesque and Victorian Romanesque. The depot was built to similar designs of stations in Ottawa, Illinois, and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad-Wilton Depot is an historic building located in Wilton, Iowa, United States. The Mississippi and Missouri Railroad built the first rail line in 1855 in what would be called Wilton Junction. The railroad became the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad (CRI&P) a few years later. A wooden frame depot and a separate freight facility served the community. The railroad placed their repair and maintenance center in Wilton, and it remained here until 1881 when they started to move operations to Davenport and Muscatine. Rail service continued to increase along the CRI&P, which necessitated a new depot in Wilton. This single-story, brick Romanesque Revival structure was completed in 1898. Six passenger trains stopped in Wilton in 1911, and by 1922 same-day service to and from Chicago began.
Burlington, Cedar Rapids and Northern Railroad Passenger Station, also known as Rock Island Railroad Depot and the Rock Island Depot Railroad Museum, is a historic building located in Clarion, Iowa, United States. The station was built in 1898 by contractor A. H. Connor & Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Burlington, Cedar Rapids and Northern Railroad (BCR&N). Clarion also had a Chicago Great Western Railway depot, no longer extant. At one time there were 14 trains that served the city. In 1903 the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway acquired the BCR&N, and this depot served that railroad. The single story, Romanesque Revival, brick structure measures 26 by 88.5 feet. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
The Rock Island Railway Depot is a historic train station building on 3rd Street in Fordyce, Arkansas. Built c. 1925 by the Rock Island Railroad, it is one of two brick railroad stations to survive from the period in Dallas County. It is a large rectangular structure with a cross-gable tile roof. The building continues to be used by the Fordyce and Princeton Railroad to manage the shipment of lumber products.

The Mena Kansas City-Southern Depot is a historic railroad station on Sherwood Street in the center of Mena, Arkansas. It is long single-story structure, built out of brick, with a tile roof and Mediterranean styling. It was built in 1920 by the Kansas City Southern Railway to designs by the company architect, T. C. Horstmann, and is one of the most elaborate surviving early-20th century railroad stations in the state. It is now owned by the city, and houses a local history museum and the local chamber of commerce.
The former Rock Island Depot is a historic railroad station at the junction of Front and Center Streets in downtown Lonoke, Arkansas. It is a long, rectangular brick building, topped by a steeply-pitched gabled tile roof. Its gable ends are partially stepped and raised above the roof pitch in the Jacobethan style. It stands south of the area where the Rock Island Line railroad tracks ran, and has a three-sided telegrapher's booth projecting from its north side. It was built in 1912, and served as a passenger and freight station for many years, and now houses the local chamber of commerce.

It is a single story stuccoed brick building with Mediterranean style, built in 1915 by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. Its main facade is oriented south, toward the former railroad tracks, with a projecting telegrapher's booth. It is topped by a tile roof with broad eaves supported by large brackets.
The Rock Island-Argenta Depot is a historic former railroad station at 4th, Beech, and Hazel Streets in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story brick structure with a roughly cruciform plan. It has a gabled red tile roof with parapeted gable ends, in the Mediterranean style common to railroad stations of the Rock Island Railroad. The building houses two waiting rooms, with the telegrapher's bay projecting on the former track side, and a baggage room projecting on the street side. Built in 1913, it is a well-preserved example of a Rock Island station, and a reminder of the importance of the railroad to the city's growth.
Union Depot, also known as the Grinnell Union Depot, is an historic building located in Grinnell, Iowa, United States. The Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad built the first tracks through the area in 1863, and they built a simple frame depot the same year. The Central Railroad of Iowa extended its north–south line to Grinnell nine years later, and their tracks crossed the Rock Island tracks at this location. The Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway eventually acquired the Central Railroad. The old depot became too small and this one replaced it in 1893. It was designed by the Rock Island Lines and built by a local contractor. The one-story, brick structure follows a square plan with a round corner tower at the junction of the two tracks. The tower provided the station agent with a clear view in all directions.
The Russellville, Arkansas Missouri Pacific Depot is a historic passenger railroad station located just north of the intersection of South Denver Avenue and West C Street. It is a long rectangular single-story masonry building, finished in brick and stucco and covered by a hip roof with supporting Italianate brackets, designed in a Mediterranean style that was popular when it was built. At both ends, the roof extends beyond the structure to form a sheltered porch supported by square brick columns. A telegrapher's booth projects from the building's north (track-facing) side. An open breezeway separates the passenger and express freight sections of the depot. Three brick chimneys rise through the ridge line, two above the passenger section to the east and one above the freight section to the west. Completed in February 1917, it is typical of many railroad depots of that period; its original tile roof has been replaced by composition shingles.
The Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad Depot was a historic railroad station off Arkansas Highway 10 in Blue Mountain, Arkansas. It was a single-story rectangular wood-frame structure, with a hip roof whose deep eaves were supported by triangular brackets. The station was built in the late 1890s to serve the local Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad line, and was a significant element of the community's growth until the 1930s. In 1939 it was purchased by a local community group and moved four lots from its original site, for use as a community center.
The Burlington, Cedar Rapids & Northern Passenger Station-Vinton, also known as Rock Island Depot and the Vinton Depot, is a historic building located in Vinton, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1900, this depot replaced a previous depot of the Burlington, Cedar Rapids and Northern Railway (BCR&N) located on the east side of town. It was designed by the railroad's architect and chief engineer, H.F. White, and built by A.H. Connor & Company of Cedar Rapids. The single-story brick structure was constructed on a limestone foundation. Three years after it was built, the BCR&N was acquired by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. It continued to serve as a working depot until 1967. The Benton County Historical Society restored the depot and converted into a railroad museum. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
