As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 629 people, 227 households, and 185 families residing in the town. The population density was 17.8 inhabitants per square mile (6.9/km2). There were 232 housing units at an average density of 6.6 per square mile (2.5/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.25% White, 0.16% Native American, 0.64% Asian, and 0.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.16% of the population.
There were 227 households, out of which 34.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.2% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.5% were non-families. 16.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.06.
