As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 498 people, 171 households, and 149 families residing in the town. The population density was 27.9 inhabitants per square mile (10.8/km2). There were 173 housing units at an average density of 9.7 per square mile (3.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.79% White, 0.20% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.20% Asian, and 1.41% from two or more races.
There were 171 households, out of which 38.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.3% were married couples living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.3% were non-families. 10.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
