As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 808 people, 285 households, and 220 families residing in the town. The population density was 23.6 people per square mile (9.1/km2). There were 299 housing units at an average density of 8.7 per square mile (3.4/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 95.17% White, 0.12% African American, 0.12% Native American, 2.97% Asian, 0.37% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.50% of the population.
There were 285 households, out of which 34.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.5% were non-families. 16.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
