The districts have differing boundaries and contributing properties, over 20 of which were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, widely regarded as the greatest American architect.
The Campground Historic District, also known as The Campground is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. Named for the Old Camp Ground, a military encampment that occupied the property during the American Civil War, this historically African-American neighborhood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2005. It is roughly bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Rylands Street, St. Stephens Road, and Ann Street. The district covers 370 acres (1.5 km2) and contains 166 contributing buildings. The houses range from shotgun houses to bungalows and date from the late 19th century to the middle 20th century.

Slack Farmstead is a historic farm complex and national historic district located at Mexico in Oswego County, New York. The district includes four contributing structures; the farmhouse, a dairy barn (1870), granary and a hen house. Also on the property are a contributing stone wall, hand-dug well, and farm pond. The farmhouse is a five-bay, 1+1⁄2-story frame building with a gable roof built about 1838.

According to its nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, it is notable as "a distinctive, virtually unaltered example of the Commercial Style". And it is an "excellent" example of "the three-part base-shaft-capital approach to tall building design."

Maiden Spring is a historic home and farm complex and national historic district located at Pounding Mill, Tazewell County, Virginia. The district encompasses eight contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and one contributing structure. The main house consists of a large two-story, five-bay, frame, central-passage-plan dwelling with an earlier frame dwelling, incorporated as an ell. Also on the property are the contributing meat house, slave house, summer kitchen, horse barn, the stock barn, the hen house, the granary / corn crib, the source of Maiden Spring, the cemetery, and the schoolhouse. It was the home of 19th-century congressman, magistrate and judge Rees Bowen (1809–1879) and his son, Henry (1841-1915), also a congressman. During the American Civil War, Confederate Army troops camped on the Maiden Spring Farm.
The Reeves Farmstead Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located north of Le Mars, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. At the time of its nomination the district consisted of 13 resources, including 11 contributing buildings, one non-contributing building, and one non-contributing object. The contributing buildings include an American Four Square house, a barn, cob house and wash house, hen house, outhouse, machine shed, corn crib, two hog houses, and a garage. The non-contributing building is a second garage built in the late 20th century, and the non-contributing object is an incomplete wind mill. The buildings were all built in the late 19th- or early 20th century, but exact dates are uncertain. The fully integrated farmstead from the early to mid 20th century features buildings that utilize simple architecture that was typical of many Iowa farms. It was removed from the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
