First Baptist Church is a historic church on College Street in Paintsville, Kentucky.
The original building was built in 1907 in a Late Gothic Revival style and added to the National Register in 1989. It was located on the corner of Fourth and College Street. The church occupied the building on Fourth Street until October 1, 1967, when the church congregation moved into the present structure on the corner of Third and College Streets. [2]
First Baptist Church Paintsville is associated with the Enterprise Association of Southern Baptists, Kentucky Baptist Convention [3] as well as the Southern Baptist Convention [4] and is a member of the Paintsville Ministerial Association.

In 1978 the official name was changed to the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was pastor there and helped organize the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 during the civil rights era. The church is located steps away from the Alabama State Capitol.

American Baptist College is a private, Baptist college in Nashville, Tennessee, affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, USA. Founded in 1924, its predecessor in black Baptist education was Roger Williams University, a Nashville college begun in the late-19th century and closed in the early 20th century. Upon full accreditation by the American Association of Bible Colleges, ABTS dropped use of the term "Theological Seminary" and renamed itself American Baptist College. The college has an 82% acceptance rate. In Fall 2019, 77% of students were retained after the first year of attendance.

First African Baptist Church and Parsonage is an historically significant church building and an associated parsonage located in the United States on West Jefferson Avenue in Georgetown, Kentucky. In 1842, First Baptist Church moved from their West Jefferson location to a site closer to Georgetown College on College and Hamilton Streets. The church's previous building and property were leased to local black Baptists so a new congregation solely for blacks could be formed. The current building was constructed in 1870. The buildings were added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
