Foster Falls Historic District is a national historic district located near Max Meadows, Wythe County, Virginia. [3] The district encompasses 12 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 3 contributing structures in the village of Foster Falls. They are primarily industrial and commercial buildings and structures built in the late-19th century. They include the iron furnace stack, the rail bed and frame railroad passenger station (c. 1887), a general store building, and a combination gristmill/sawmill. The district includes the Foster Falls Hotel, a late-Victorian style brick building. The hotel property includes two brick dependencies associated with an orphanage that occupied the hotel building beginning in 1938. It now serves as the headquarters of the New River Trail State Park. [4]

Gloucester County Courthouse Square Historic District is a national historic district located at Gloucester Courthouse, Gloucester County, Virginia. The district encompasses 17 contributing buildings including the Gloucester County government buildings and those structures bordering the square, housing private businesses, offices and residences. The courthouse was built about 1766, and is a one-story, "T"-shaped brick structure with a hipped roof. Other notable buildings include the Botetourt Hotel ; the Botetourt Lodge; W. C. Tucker's Department Store Building; S and S Hobbies; and the Kearn's Real Estate storage house.
Goochland County Court Square is a historic county courthouse and national historic district located at Goochland, Goochland County, Virginia. It includes three contributing buildings and one contributing site. The Goochland County Court House was built in 1826 by Dabney Cosby, an architect of the area. It is a two-story, temple-form brick structure with a projecting pedimented tetrastyle Tuscan order portico.

King and Queen Courthouse Green Historic District is a national historic district located at King and Queen Court House, near Shacklefords, King and Queen County, Virginia. It encompasses eight contributing buildings, seven contributing structures, and two contributing objects in the county seat of King and Queen County. The district includes a small courthouse compound with a courthouse, clerk's office, and county jail, a granite monument and brick wall, a hotel / tavern building, a school, a specialty store building, and a residence on the site of another hotel and tavern.

Powhatan Courthouse Historic District is a county courthouse complex and national historic district located at Powhatan, Powhatan County, Virginia. The district includes four contributing buildings. The Powhatan County Court House was built in 1848–1849, and is a stuccoed temple-form Greek Revival style building measuring approximately 40 feet by 54 feet. There is strong circumstantial evidence that it is the work of Alexander Jackson Davis. Associated with the courthouse are the contributing former clerk's office, a "T"-shaped brick structure dated to the late-18th century; the early-19th century former jail; and Scott's or Powhatan Tavern, a large late-18th century tavern, a 2 1/2-story, brick structure.
Occoquan Historic District is a national historic district located at Occoquan, Prince William County, Virginia. It encompasses 60 contributing buildings in the town of Occoquan. The buildings are predominantly frame, two-story, residential structures although the earliest examples are constructed of stone or brick. The Ellicott's Mill House houses Historic Occoquan, Inc. The district also includes several notable non-residential buildings including the Hammill Hotel, Ebenezer Church (1853), Methodist Church (1926), and Crescent Lodge #3 (1889). Located in the district is the separately listed Rockledge.
Black Horse Tavern-Bellvue Hotel and Office is a historic inn and tavern complex located at Hollins, Roanoke County, Virginia. The complex consists of the Black Horse Tavern, the Greek Revival style Bellvue Hotel and the temple-fronted, Greek Revival style brick Office. Other contributing resources on the property include a spring house and a shed. The Black Horse Tavern is a simple, one story, three-bay log structure. The Bellvue Hotel is a two-story, five-bay, brick structure with a central-passage, double-pile plan. The office is a simple, one-story, one-bay brick structure. It features a wide frieze band and a front portico with a pedimented gable supported by squared Doric order columns. The buildings housed a school for physically and mentally handicapped children and the property became known as Bellevue School during the mid-20Ih century. The school closed in 1976, and the buildings house a single family residence.

Dan River Inc. Riverside Division Historic District and Dan River Mill No. 8 is a national historic district located at Danville, Virginia. The district includes 23 contributing buildings and 13 contributing structures in the city of Danville. The district includes buildings and structures associated with the Riverside Division, one of two historic textile mill complexes in Danville developed by Dan River Inc. and its predecessor, Riverside Cotton Mills. The building and structures are characterized by multistory industrial buildings of mostly brick construction dating from the 1880s through the 1910s. Dan River Mill No. 8 is a four-story, reinforced concrete building constructed in the 1920s.
Belfield–Emporia Historic District, also known as North Emporia, is a national historic district located at Emporia, Virginia. The district includes 41 contributing buildings in the Belfield section of Emporia. In 1887, the neighboring towns of Hicksford and Belfield merged to form the town of Emporia. The district generally consists of late-19th- to early-20th-century brick buildings laid out in a "T"-shape at the intersection of Halifax and Baker Streets. Notable buildings include the Hotel Virginia, the Bethlehem Building or former First National Bank of Emporia (1907), Petersburg and Danville Railroad passenger station, and Pair's Furniture. Located in the district is the separately listed H. T. Klugel Architectural Sheet Metal Work Building.

It is a warehouse and commercial district characterized by rows of late-19th century and early-20th century storefronts and an elongated plaza framed by small warehouses. The buildings are characteristically two- and three-story, brick structures in a variety of popular architectural styles including Greek Revival, Federal, and Queen Anne. Notable buildings and structures include the Railroad Water Tower, American Hotel, John Burns Building (1874), Erskine Building (1904), and Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Station (1902).
