The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is a historic hotel located in the Gainsboro neighborhood of Roanoke, Virginia. Originally built in 1882, the hotel has been rebuilt and expanded many times. The central wing dates to 1938. The hotel is currently owned by Virginia Tech and operated under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

At its 1894 opening, the station was the largest in the world that had tracks and passenger service areas all on one level. Traffic peaked at 100,000 people a day in the 1940s. The last Amtrak passenger train left the station in 1978.

There are nine historic districts in Meridian, Mississippi. Each of these districts is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One district, Meridian Downtown Historic District, is a combination of two older districts, Meridian Urban Center Historic District and Union Station Historic District. Many architectural styles are present in the districts, most from the late 19th century and early 20th century, including Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Italianate, Art Deco, Late Victorian, and Bungalow.
The Barth Hotel, also known as the Union Warehouse, is located in Denver, Colorado. It was built in 1882 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In 1980, it was the oldest continuously operated hotel in Denver.
The Burlington, Cedar Rapids and Northern Railway (BCR&N) was a railroad that operated in the United States from 1876 to 1903. It was formed to take over the operations of the bankrupt Burlington, Cedar Rapids and Minnesota Railway, which was, in turn, the result of merging several predecessor lines, the construction of which began in 1869. The corporate headquarters were in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and it had operations in Iowa and in Minnesota. It was succeeded by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway.

The numerous historic hotels in Meridian, Mississippi, provide insights into the city's growth and expansion, both in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and into the modern age. Many hotels were built in downtown Meridian in the early 1900s to provide lodging for passengers of the railroad, which was essential to the city's growth at the turn of the 20th century. Two of these historic hotels–the Union Hotel, built in 1910, and the Lamar Hotel, built in 1927–have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Charles Henry Burggraf (1866–1942) was an American architect primarily working in Salem, Oregon, and Albany, Oregon, who also worked in Hastings, Nebraska, and in Grand Junction, Colorado. A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
Greenwood Hotel is a historic building at 300 N. Main Street in Eureka, Kansas, United States. The brick structure was constructed in 1882, to house visitors involved in the burgeoning cattle industry in the area. Owner H.D. Hover renovated the hotel in 1926 to its current external appearance with a remodel that reflected the Spanish Mission Revival style. To celebrate the grand reopening, a celebration dinner was held on September 23, 1926, with great fanfare. This event eventually became known as Cattlemen's Day and has been celebrated annually ever since on the first Saturday of November.
Columbia House, also known as Gowen Wilson Tavern, is a historic house and hotel on Main Street in Columbia Falls, Maine. Probably built about 1834, it was for many years the town's only hotel, apparently closing about 1882. It is a locally important example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
The Hotel on Phillips is a hotel at 100 N. Phillips Ave. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is located in the former Sioux Falls National Bank building, a skyscraper built in 1917, during World War I. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as "Sioux Falls National Bank Building". The property has also been known as the 100 North Phillips Building.
Historic Hotels of America is a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation that was founded in 1989 with 32 charter members; the program accepts nominations and identifies hotels that have maintained their authenticity, sense of place, and architectural integrity. In 2015, the program included over 260 members in 44 states, including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In 2022, the program includes 273 hotels.
