The Hail Creek coal mine is within the locality ( 21°29′27″S148°21′51″E / 21.490833°S 148.364167°E / -21.490833; 148.364167 (Hail Creek coal mine) ). It is operated by Glencore Australia. [3]

The Suttor Developmental Road (State Route 11) runs through from south-east to south-west. [4]
