Holy Rosary Church was a parish erected in 1844 in the small community of Manton (also known as Blincoe) in Washington County, Kentucky, United States. [2] The church was built under the direction of the Dominicans.
The cornerstone for Holy Rosary Church, a Roman Catholic church in Manton was laid November 2, 1844. [3] The original church is not the one that is on this site. A few years later, in 1848, a new church was built. This, the present building, was blessed on November 19, 1848. The building was built of brick with an overall size of 20 x 60 feet.
One of the first pastors was Rev. Julian Timoleum Pieters. [4] Records also show Fr. Edward Lynch was an early pastor, who was stationed at Holy Cross between 1866 and 1883. The current parish administrator is Fr. Matthew Hardesty. The new and current pastor is, Fr. Michael Martin.
In 1883, a church was built at nearby Fredericktown (also known as 'the Burg'). The parish is a mission church to one at Fredericktown, Kentucky. The parish is within the Diocese of Louisville. There are about 200 parishioners.
This historic building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Manton is an unincorporated community in the central part of the U.S. state of Kentucky, located on the western edge of Washington County near the intersection of Marion, Nelson, and Washington counties. It was founded at least before 1844, when Holy Rosary Church was founded. The cornerstone for the present church was laid November 2, 1844. Holy Rosary, a mission church, is a brick building on Hardin's Creek close to the Beech Fork River. Rev. Victor Francis O'Daniel O.P.M. mentions in his book "A Light Of The Church In Kentucky" on page 140 that a station "... was possibly that of Wilfred Fields, where now stands Holy Rosary Church, Manton ".

The designation includes the church building and rectory on the west side of Fillmore Street, and the former parochial school building and convent on the east side. A former school building operated by the parish two blocks north on West Eighth Street is also on the National Register and is listed as St. Mary's Academy. The parish ceased operations in July 2020 when it was merged into St. Anthony's Church downtown. The parish campus is being acquired by the nonprofit organization Humility Homes & Services, which is operated by the Congregation of the Humility of Mary.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The church and the rectory were listed together on the Davenport Register of Historic Properties in 1999. After serving as the location of a Reformed Baptist congregation and a private elementary school named Marquette Academy, the parish property now houses a fundamentalist Christian ministry named One Eighty.
