The Hotel Stratford is a historic hotel located at 229 Market St. in Alton, Illinois. The hotel, originally known as the Illini Hotel, opened in 1909. St. Louis architectural firm Barnett, Haynes & Barnett designed the hotel in the Classical Revival style. The five-story brick building features brick quoins, limestone bands and window sills, terra cotta ornamentation, and a cantilevered cornice. The hotel opened a rooftop garden in 1910 and a reception room in 1912, and it became one of many hotels which drew conventions to Alton; a contemporary newspaper account described the building as part of the "greatest improvement in property in the city of Alton". In 1925, new owner E. J. Lockyer renamed the hotel to its current name. The hotel is the only hotel built in Alton before 1950 that is still in operation. [2]

Stratford is a city on the Avon River within Perth County in southwestern Ontario, Canada, with a 2016 population of 31,465 in a land area of 28.28 square kilometres (10.92 sq mi). Stratford is the seat of Perth County, which was settled by English, Irish, Scottish and German immigrants, in almost equal numbers, starting in the 1820s but primarily in the 1830s and 1840s. Most became farmers; even today, the area around Stratford is known for mixed farming, dairying and hog production.

Their credits include many familiar St. Louis landmarks, especially a number related to the local Catholic church. Their best-known building is probably the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The Arthur Ebeling House is a historic building located on the west side of Davenport, Iowa, United States. The Colonial Revival house was designed by its original owner, Arthur Ebeling. It was built from 1912-1913 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Jefferson Arms Building is a historic hotel in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It opened as the Hotel Jefferson in 1904 to serve visitors to the Louisiana Purchase Exposition and was named in honor of Thomas Jefferson.
The Broadview Hotel is a historic hotel building located at 415 E. Broadway in East St. Louis, Illinois. The Classical Revival hotel was constructed in 1927. The Yakel House and Union Brewery are a historic house and brewery complex located at 1421-1431 Pearl St. in Alton, Illinois. Philip Yakel, a German immigrant, built the brewery soon after coming to America in 1836. The brewery was the first in Alton and one of the city's earliest successful industries. Yakel's son George, who eventually ran the brewery alongside his father, built the house in 1863; it was the family's second home at the site. The brick home features a vernacular design influenced by German architectural tradition. William Netzhammer, a brewer from St. Louis, purchased the brewery in 1882. The Netzhammer family ran the brewery until it closed in 1952;, notably, the brewery continued production during Prohibition by making near beer.
The Post House is a historic house located at 1516 State St. in Alton, Illinois, United States. William Post, a steamboat captain who later became mayor of Alton, built the house in 1837–38. The brick and limestone house is designed in the Greek Revival style. The house's front facade features four Doric columns topped by an entablature and a pedimented gable end. The front porch of the house wraps around both sides, each of which has an additional column and a pilaster. The cornice and front pediment are both dentillated. James Patterson, owner of the Illinois Iron Works, purchased the house in 1854; Patterson may have added the iron porch railing.
Hotel Albert Commercial Block, also known as the Shoppes at the Albert House, is a historic hotel building located at Walterboro, Colleton County, South Carolina. The complex was built in 1912, and consists of four two-story brick structures. It was operated as a hotel until 1960, after which it housed apartments and various commercial enterprises. They buildings were restored in 1995.

The Ruebel Hotel is a historic hotel located at 207–215 E. Main St. in Grafton, Illinois. Built in 1913, the structure is the second hotel building on the site; the original Ruebel Hotel was built in 1879 and burned down in 1912. The Commercial style building features decorative brickwork typical of the style; the building's cornice has brick corbelling, and raised brick panels decorate the space above the second-story brick arched windows. The hotel, which also included a saloon and a restaurant, gained a reputation as one of the best in Jersey County. It is the only surviving hotel in Grafton.
The Hotel Roodhouse was a historic hotel located at 303 Morse St. in Roodhouse, Illinois. John Roodhouse, the founder of the city, opened the hotel in 1895. The hotel is a 2 1⁄2-story building with Queen Anne and Romanesque influences. It was one of several hotels in Roodhouse which served travelers on the Chicago and Alton Railroad and the last such hotel to stand, before collapsing. The Hotel Roodhouse's amenities included a dining room, smoking rooms, lounges, and a showroom for traveling salesmen. During the Great Depression, the hotel also hosted a local soup kitchen.
Hotel Charitone is a historic building located in Chariton, Iowa, United States. Local architect William L. Perkins designed the building in the Neoclassical style. It was his second major commission in town after the Chariton Herald-Patriot Building (1918). Local contractor P.E. Johnson constructed the building. It opened on November 5, 1923 and remained in operation as a hotel with some apartments under various owners. The buildings had fallen into disrepair and was vacant when Hy-Vee, a grocery store chain that had been headquartered in Chariton for years spearheaded the renovation of the building as an act of gratitude for the community's support.
Mark Twain Hotel is a historic hotel building located at Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri. It was designed by Barnett, Haynes & Barnett and built in 1905. It is a four-story, Renaissance Revival style steel-frame structure with a granite foundation and beige pressed-brick exterior. The annex was built in 1918. It features semicircular arches over the main door and adjacent windows.
