The Annual Indonesian Movie Actor Awards (formerly Indonesian Movie Awards) [1] [2] are annual awards that have been presented to filmmakers in Indonesia since 2007. The trophy given is called Piala Layar Emas. Winners in "Best" categories are selected by a jury, and winners in "Favorite" categories are selected by the public.

Most nominated

Until now, 7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita is the only film that has been nominated more than 15 times, which is 16 times. [3] Following behind is Arisan! 2 with 12 nominations and also there are four films with 11 nominations. Below are the films which has had a total number of nominations of 6 and above.

Most awards

The only film that received a total number of awards above five is Suddenly Dangdut. [4] Here are the films that have received at least three awards (films are sorted by year of release and alphabetically).

Melliana Cessy "Melly" Goeslaw is an Indonesian singer, songwriter, composer, producer, writer, and actress. She began singing in the fifth grade, then began writing songs and took work as a backing vocalist for Elfa Secioria in high school. This led to her family and her moving to Jakarta to further her career. While providing backing vocals for Katon Bagaskara's promotional tour, she met Anto Hoed and Andi Ayunir. After marrying Hoed, the three formed the band Potret in 1995. Their 1995 debut album was well received, bringing Goeslaw and her bandmates to fame. As of 2011, she has written over 500 songs.

As a guest star who will fill the event, among them Afgan, Wali, Petra Sihombing, Nidji, D'Masiv, etc.

The 4th Annual Indonesian Movie Awards was held on May 7, 2010, at the JITEC Mangga Dua Square, North Jakarta. The award show was hosted by Okky Lukman and Choky Sitohang. And the nominations have been announced for the category of Favorite, which will be chosen by the public via SMS. As for the category of Best, will be selected by a jury that has been appointed. This time, there are 36 films which consists of 15 drama film, 11 comedy film, and other like horror, religion, and documentary film. And the number of awards up for grabs this time there are 15, respectively 8 Best and 7 Favorite.

Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, released internationally as Woman With A Turban, is a 2009 Indonesian drama religion movies, The film was written by Gina S. Noer and Hanung Bramantyo & directed by Hanung Bramantyo, and stars Revalina S. Temat, Reza Rahadian, Oka Antara, and Widyawati. This film was released on January 15, 2009, and produced by Starvision Plus. Based on the novel by Abidah El Khalieqy, telling about Anissa, a Muslim woman, always understanding of a situation in her life, men always being positioned higher than women in any aspects of life. Anissa wanted man and woman is balance in gender. Anissa thinks in Muslim, the man is greatest than the woman. And the ending, Anissa know one thing that her wrongs and had a special 'chair' in Muslims.

Gina S. Noer is an Indonesian screenwriter, film director, producer, and author. She co-founded production company Wahana Kreator Nusantara.
