Mount Pleasant is a neighborhood in the northwestern quadrant of Washington, D.C. It is bounded by Rock Creek Park to the north and west; Harvard Street NW to the south; and 16th Street NW to the east. It is north of Adams Morgan and west of Columbia Heights. It is home to approximately 10,000 people.

Mount Pleasant is a historic mansion in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, atop cliffs overlooking the Schuylkill River. It was built about 1761–62 in what was then the countryside outside the city by John Macpherson and his wife Margaret. Macpherson was a privateer, or perhaps a pirate, who had had "an arm twice shot off" according to John Adams. He named the house "Clunie" after the ancient seat of his family's clan in Scotland.

Guglielmo Marconi is a public artwork by Attilio Piccirilli, located at the intersection of 16th and Lamont Streets, N.W., in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C., United States. It stands as a tribute to Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi. It was paid for by public subscription and erected in 1941. The artwork was listed on both the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites and the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. It is a contributing property in the Mount Pleasant Historic District. The monument was originally surveyed as part of the Smithsonian's Save Outdoor Sculpture! survey in 1994.
Mount Pleasant Historic District is a national historic district located at Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 268 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing object in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Mount Pleasant. They were built between about 1812 and 1948, and includes a mix of residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial properties. They are in a variety of popular architectural styles including Italianate, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival. Notable buildings include the Overholt General Store, harness shop, warehouse, East End Hotel, Grand Central Hotel, Gerechter Furniture Building, Citizens Savings and Trust Company and First National Bank (1905), Shupe Steam Grist Mill (1843), City Hall (1910), Penn Theater (1937), Reunion Presbyterian Church (1873), Wesley United Methodist Church (1856), Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church (1889), and three houses built about 1812. The contributing site is Frick Park. The district includes the separately listed Samuel Warden House and demolished Mount Pleasant Armory.
The Buildings at 1644–1666 Park Road NW are twelve semi-detached row houses in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C. They are typical of speculative row house development in the neighborhood. The houses were designed in the Colonial Revival style by Washington architect Appleton P. Clark Jr., and completed in 1906. They are a few of such houses that he designed and exemplify his facility for eclectic design and sophistication. The houses are three stories in height and the exteriors are covered in brick. They feature slate Mansard roofs and wooden front porches. The styles of the main facades alternate and contain shallow oriel windows, prominent dormers and curved pediments. They were listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Notable buildings include the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Mount Pleasant Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Hibben-McIver House, 200 Bank Street, and the Captain Peter Lewis House. Located in the district is the separately listed Old Courthouse.

Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute Historic District is a national historic district located at Mount Pleasant, Cabarrus County, North Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings associated with the Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute, also known as Western Carolina Male Academy and North Carolina College. They are the three story brick Main Building (1854-1855); Greek Revival style President's House; Matthias Barrier house; Society Hall; the Boarding House (1868); and the New Building (1925). The Western Carolina Male Academy was established in 1852 by the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The institute closed in 1933 after which, in 1941, the property was put up to auction. The Lentz Hotel was moved inside the district boundaries in 1980.
