Juchitán (Spanish pronunciation:  [xutʃiˈtan] ) is a settlement in Juchitán Municipality, in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It is part of the region of the state known as the Costa Chica.

Guerrero State of Mexico

Guerrero, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Guerrero, is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 81 municipalities and its capital city is Chilpancingo and its largest city is Acapulco.

In the 2005 INEGI census, the municipal seat reported a population of 2,944, compared to 6,240 for the municipality as a whole. [1]
