The Lincoln Memorial is a US national memorial built to honor the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. It is on the western end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C., across from the Washington Monument, and is in the form of a neoclassical temple. The memorial's architect was Henry Bacon. The designer of the memorial interior's large central statue, Abraham Lincoln (1920), was Daniel Chester French; the Lincoln statue was carved by the Piccirilli Brothers. The painter of the interior murals was Jules Guerin, and the epithet above the statue was written by Royal Cortissoz. Dedicated in May 1922, it is one of several memorials built to honor an American president. It has always been a major tourist attraction and since the 1930s has sometimes been a symbolic center focused on race relations.

Cañon City straddles the easterly flowing Arkansas River and is a popular tourist destination for sightseeing, whitewater rafting, and rock climbing. The city is known for its many public parks, fossil discoveries, Skyline Drive, The Royal Gorge railroad, the Royal Gorge, and extensive natural hiking paths. In 1994, the United States Board on Geographic Names approved adding the tilde to the official name of Cañon City, a change from Canon City as the official name in its decisions of 1906 and 1975. It is one of the few U.S. cities to have the Spanish Ñ in its name, others being La Cañada Flintridge, California; Española, New Mexico; Peñasco, New Mexico; and Cañones, New Mexico.

The name is derived from an early land patent. Lettie G. Howard, formerly Mystic C and Caviare, is a wooden Fredonia schooner built in 1893 in Essex, Massachusetts, USA. This type of craft was commonly used by American offshore fishermen, and is believed to be the last surviving example of its type. She was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989. She is now based at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York City.

Tenafly is a former railroad station located in Tenafly, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The station was a stop along Erie Railroad's suburban Northern Branch (NRRNJ) which terminated at Pavonia Terminal on the Hudson River. It stopped being used for passenger rail transport in 1966, by which time trains had been redirected to Hoboken Terminal. The rail line is still used for freight transport by CSX.
Marble High School is a school and historical site preserved by the National Register of Historic Places located in Marble, Colorado. It was built in 1910, and is the only surviving building in Marble that utilizes marble in its construction, despite the name of the town. It is currently owned by Marble Historical Society, who operate the building as a museum.
The Knearl School, at 314 S. Clayton St. in Brush, Colorado, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It is a red brick one-story building, about 58 by 30 feet in plan, built in 1911. It was used as a school until 1971.
