<i>Pobol y Cwm</i> Welsh-language television soap opera

Pobol y Cwm is a Welsh-language soap opera produced by the BBC since October 1974. The longest-running television soap opera produced by the BBC, Pobol y Cwm was originally transmitted on BBC Cymru and later transferred to the Welsh-language station S4C when it opened in November 1982.

Huw Garmon is a Welsh actor, probably best known for playing the eponymous lead in the Oscar-nominated Welsh language film Hedd Wyn (1992). He has also taken part in various television series and has currently taken an academic post at Glyndŵr University, combining it with his acting roles.

<i>Clwb Rygbi</i> 1997 Welsh TV series or programme

Clwb Rygbi is a rugby union Welsh-language television programme shown on S4C. Produced by BBC Cymru Wales, the show is amongst the most popular programmes shown on S4C. The show was known as Y Clwb Rygbi until the beginning of the 2014–15 season.

<i>Rownd a Rownd</i> Welsh-language soap opera

Rownd a Rownd is a Welsh soap opera created by Rondo Media and shown on S4C since 11 September 1995. It was claimed to be the first Celtic-related language soap specifically directed at a youth audience. It is set in the fictional harbour town of Glanrafon in Anglesey.

Geraint Wyn Todd is a Welsh actor and director, originally from Pontypridd in the South Wales Valleys. He has played several major roles in Welsh dramas and comedies, most notably in Cowbois ac Injans (2006-2007), Gwaith/Cartref (2011-2012) and Pobol y Cwm (2011-2019).

Television in Wales began in 1952. Initially, all programmes were in English with occasional Welsh language programmes. In 1982 Welsh language channel S4C was launched. The digital switchover happened in 2009-2010 and S4C became an exclusively Welsh language channel.

Eleri Siôn is a Welsh radio and television presenter. She currently presents The Friday Afternoon Show and The Late Show on BBC Radio Wales Monday-Thursday.

Dyfan Dwyfor is a Welsh actor, originally from Criccieth.

Iwan "Iwcs" Roberts is a Welsh actor, lyricist, singer, novelist, script writer and film producer of Dal y Mellt. He has worked on various films, including the BAFTA-winning productions Eldra and Y Lleill, and is well known for his portrayal of character Kevin Powell in the Welsh soap opera Pobol y Cwm. He has also had a successful career as a singer-songwriter, both as part of the duo Iwcs a Doyle and as a solo artist.

Caryl Parry Jones is a Welsh singer, actress and presenter. She was born in the Flintshire village of Ffynnongroyw and attended Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St. Asaph, but now lives in Cowbridge, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Lisa Jên Brown is a Welsh actress and singer with the Welsh language folk band 9Bach. She is originally from Bethesda, Gwynedd, north Wales and is the daughter of Welsh actress Linda Brown. She attended drama school at Ysgol Glanaethwy, beginning her acting career at 14 years old; she landed her first acting break on the Welsh TV drama Rownd a Rownd on S4C. Brown met her husband, Martin Hoyland, the guitarist for 9Bach, in London. They have two children.

This is a timeline of the history of television in Wales. It does not include events that affect the whole UK.

The 2020–21 Cymru Premier was the 29th season of the Cymru Premier, the highest football league within Wales since its establishment in 1992. Connah's Quay Nomads were the defending champions. Teams played each other twice on a home and away basis, before the league split into two groups after phase 1 matches were completed.

This is a timeline of the history of S4C, originally the fourth-oldest terrestrial television channel in Wales. Until 2010 it carried a mixture of Welsh language programmes and programmes from Channel 4 which was not broadcast on analogue TV in Wales. In 2010, Channel 4 became available in Wales on all platforms and S4C became a Welsh-language-only channel.

Eretoda Ogunbanwo, known professionally as Sage Todz, is a Welsh rapper producing both Welsh and English language music.

The Light in the Hall is a bilingual Welsh and English-language drama television series. It premiered on S4C on 15 May 2022.

Rough Cut is a Welsh language contemporary thriller series.
