7de Laan was a South African Afrikaans soap opera created by Danie Odendaal and produced by Danie Odendaal Productions. The series focuses on the lives of residents in and around the community of 7de Laan, in the suburb of Hillside. The programme's dialogue is primarily in Afrikaans and was subtitled in English with some English and Zulu dialogue in between. The show was cancelled in July 2023 and its final episode aired on 26 December 2023.

Louis Zorich was an American actor. He played sporting goods salesman Burt Buchman, Paul Buchman's father, on the NBC series Mad About You from 1993 to 1999.

Sandra Prinsloo, also known as Sandra Prinzlow, is a South African actress best known internationally for her role as Kate Thompson in the 1980 film The Gods Must Be Crazy. Prinsloo has also appeared in numerous South African television, film, and stage productions.

Bushra Ansari is a Pakistani actress, comedian, singer, and playwright who started her career as a child performer in the 1960s. Ansari won numerous awards during her career, including the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 1989 for her contributions to the arts of Pakistan Tv.

Charles J. Fourie is a South African writer and director working in television, film and theatre. Fourie staged his first play as a drama student at the Windybrow Theatre in 1985. In 2021/22, he received a writing and research fellowship from the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) to develop a new theatre format involving artificial intelligence. His latest radio-drama series Alleenmandaat is currently broadcasting on SABC. As of April 2022, he will engage a residency fellowship with the Posthuman Art Network and Foreign Objekt to further develop his latest creative project - AI Performance Narratives. Fourie's play The Parrot Woman was staged in September 2022 at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg.

John Patrick Vivian Flynn is a British actor and singer-songwriter. He has starred as Dylan Witter in the Channel 4 and Netflix television sitcom Lovesick, and portrayed David Bowie in the 2020 film Stardust and Nicholas Winton as a young man in the 2023 film One Life.

<i>Generations</i> (South African TV series) South African soap opera from 1993 to 2014

Generations was a South African soap opera which first premiered on SABC 1 in 1993. It was created and produced by Mfundi Vundla and aired weekdays at 20:00 UTC+2 on SABC 1. Set against the backdrop of the advertising industry, this drama celebrated the hopes and dreams of South Africans who aspire to a better future.

Dalen Lance Jooste(Pronounced "Day-lyn") is a South African television host based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was the host of the reality TV dance competition Step Up or Step Out for two seasons and a host of the early-morning TV show Dagbreek on DSTV's Kyknet channel. Lance has also performed as a presenter on television shows such as High School Musical, Spotlight South Africa, 20-Something, Pap Idols, and Bling. He released his debut album in 2006, titled Be Your Man, along with a single of the same name. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Financial Accounting at the University of Cape Town in 2004 and a Master of Business Leadership degree in 2014 through the University of South Africa (Unisa) Graduate School of Business Leadership.

Sithembile Xola Pearl Thusi is a South African actress, model, and presenter. She is known for her roles as Patricia Kopong in the BBC/HBO comedy-drama series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Dayana Mampasi in the ABC thriller Quantico and Samkelo in the romance film Catching Feelings. In 2020, she starred in the title role of Netflix's first African original series, Queen Sono.

Khanyisile Mbau is a South African actress, musician, television presenter and socialite. She received recognition as the second Doobsie on SABC 2's soap opera Muvhango (2004–2005); as Mbali in the SABC 1 soap opera Mzansi and SABC 1's mini-series After Nine. As of 2018, She is the host of the SABC 3 entertainment show The Scoop and The Big Secret on BET Africa, and plays Tshidi on Mzansi Magic's Abomama.

John Cundill (1936–2016) was a South African born television scriptwriter, playwright, journalist and actor. He is best known in South Africa as the television scriptwriter for The Villagers and Westgate series. He would later write several screenplays for Australian films and television shows.

Hectic Nine-9 is a South African teen television live interactive magazine show produced by Okuhle Media for SABC 2. It is South Africa's Flagship Youth Entertainment Show and the second longest running youth program on SABC. The program focuses on the latest local and international celebrity news and gossip, trending topics, games, music, and fashion.

Ntokozo Mbuli is a South African television producer and presenter. and an entrepreneur. She is the creator of medical drama series Vutha, which first aired on SABC 2 in 2020, followed by a run on Amazon Prime Video in 2022 and 2023. She is most renowned for her work in conservation storytelling in television and film, and for presenting and producing the South African Broadcasting Corporation's flagship wildlife and environment show 50/50 one of the longest-running television programmes. She was the executive producer of SABC police drama, The Docket, as well as E.tv telenovelas Ashes 2 Ashes and Broken Vows, under the production company Clive Morris Productions.
