Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer, actor, film producer and television personality. He works in Punjabi music and subsequently in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. Dosanjh entered the Social 50 chart by Billboard in 2020. He has been featured in various music charts, including Canadian Albums Chart, UK Asian chart by Official Charts Company and New Zealand Hot Singles. His films, including Jatt & Juliet 2, Sajjan Singh Rangroot and Honsla Rakh are among the highest grossing Punjabi films in history.
Jatt & Juliet is an Indian Punjabi-language romantic comedy film directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Darshan Singh Grewal and Gunbir Singh Sidhu. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh opposite Neeru Bajwa. It was released to theaters on 29 June 2012. Upon release, the film became a massive blockbuster at the box office and also won multiple awards at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2013 including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. The film also spawned a sequel the following year, titled Jatt & Juliet 2 featuring most of the same cast and crew. The sequel also broke records at the box office, and ended up becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi film ever. It was remade in Bengali in 2014 as Bangali Babu English Mem.

The film is set up in the backdrop of traditional Punjabi wedding. The dialogues are penned by Rana Ranbir, and the story and screenplay is written by Gippy Grewal. It is directed by Baljit Singh Deo and was released on 14 April 2017.
Mar Gaye Oye Loko is a 2018 Indian-Punjabi language Comedy film directed by Simerjit Singh starring Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon & Sapna Pabbi in lead roles. It is a Punjabi comedy about a simple boy, Tittu, and his journey to finally marry the girl of his dreams, Simran. She in turn happens to be interested in the local gangster, Gill Baiji. Gill Baiji gets shot by his arch rival Sidhu and this event changes Tittu's fate forever. The film has Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, B.N. Sharma and Jaggi Singh in supporting roles; it marked the Punjabi debut for Sapna Pabbi.
Qismat (transl. Destiny) is a 2018 Punjabi romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Shri Narotam Ji Productions, the film stars Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in lead roles along with Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. It was titled after a 2017 song of the same name, sung by Virk and starring Mehta in its music video. The film follows a man who falls in love whilst studying in Chandigarh, despite his marriage being arranged to another woman. It marked feature film debut for Tania.
Shadaa (transl. Bachelor) is a 2019 Indian Punjabi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, and co-produced by A & A Advisors and Brat Films. The film starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, follows the story of an average man looking for a bride and what happens when he finally marries a girl who thinks marriage is beautiful. Shadaa also features Hardeep Gill, Anita Devgn, and Jagjeet Sandhu in supporting roles.
