In this chart, films are ranked by the revenues from theatrical exhibition at their nominal value, along with the highest positions they attained. The Legend of Maula Jatt, Jatt & Juliet 3 and Carry on Jatta 3 ranked at the top positions respectively for Pakistani Punjabi and Indian Punjabi films. [1] Films with more than ₹25 crore gross are only considered.

The film stars Diljit Dosanjh opposite Neeru Bajwa. It was released theatrically on 29 June 2012 and became a major commercial success at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi film. It also won multiple awards at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2013 including for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

    Manje Bistre is a 2017 Indian Punjabi-language family drama romantic comedy film featuring Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa in lead roles while Karamjit Anmol, Jaggi Singh, Sardar Sohi and Hobby Dhaliwal in supporting roles. The film is set up in the backdrop of traditional Punjabi wedding. The dialogues are penned by Rana Ranbir, and the story and screenplay is written by Gippy Grewal. It is directed by Baljit Singh Deo and was released on 14 April 2017.

    1000 Crore Club is an unofficial designation by the Indian film trade and the media, related to Indian language films that have grossed ₹1000 crore or more either within India or worldwide. The 1000 crore club is preceded by the 100 crore club. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) became the first Indian film to gross over ₹1000 crore worldwide. It grossed ₹1,430 crore across all languages in India and grossed ₹1,810 crore worldwide. It stands as the Highest-grossing film in India domestically till date. It was followed by Dangal, which is the Highest-grossing Indian film, expanding the club to 1900 crore, before creating the 2,000 crore (US$240 million) club, and becoming the fifth Highest-grossing non-English language film of that time. In 2022, two films released in the span of a month, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2, grossed over ₹1,000 crore at the global box office. The movie is directed by Mandeep Benipal, Associate Director Vinod Kumar features Dev Kharoud, Jagjeet Sandhu, Sukhdeep Sukh and Pooja Verma in lead characters along with Lucky Dhaliwal and Hardeep Gill. The film was released on 10 August 2018.

    Mar Gaye Oye Loko is a 2018 Indian-Punjabi language Comedy film directed by Simerjit Singh starring Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon & Sapna Pabbi in lead roles. It is a Punjabi comedy about a simple boy, Tittu, and his journey to finally marry the girl of his dreams, Simran. She in turn happens to be interested in the local gangster, Gill Baiji. Gill Baiji gets shot by his arch rival Sidhu and this event changes Tittu's fate forever. The film has Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, B.N. Sharma and Jaggi Singh in supporting roles; it marked the Punjabi debut for Sapna Pabbi.

    Qismat (transl. Destiny) is a 2018 Punjabi romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Shri Narotam Ji Productions, the film stars Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in lead roles along with Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. It was titled after a 2017 song of the same name, sung by Virk and starring Mehta in its music video. The film follows a man who falls in love whilst studying in Chandigarh, despite his marriage being arranged to another woman. It marked feature film debut for Tania.

The film starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, follows the story of an average man looking for a bride and what happens when he finally marries a girl who thinks marriage is beautiful. Shadaa also features Hardeep Gill, Anita Devgn, and Jagjeet Sandhu in supporting roles.

It stars Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal, Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti, Akram Udas, Rup Khatkar, Hardeep Gill and Gurshabad. The film revolves around Punjabis trying hard to make a living in a foreign land. The film will followed by a direct sequel Chal Mera Putt 2 (2020). It marked the feature film directorial debut for Janjot Singh.

The film is produced by Karaj Gill under Rhythm Boyz Entertainment and by Ashu Munish Sahni under Omjee Star Studios. It stars Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal, and Garry Sandhu in lead roles. The film revolves around Punjabis trying hard to make a living in a foreign land. The film also stars Iftikhar Thakur, Rup Khatkar, Nasir Chinyoti, Akram Udas, Zafri Khan, Gurshabad, Hardeep Gill, Nirmal Rishi, and Ruby Anam in supporting roles.

    Janjot Singh is a Punjabi film director associated with Rhythm Boyz Production. He started his career assisting the direction for films Jatt James Bond (2014) and Sardaar Ji (2015), and made his direction debut in 2019 with Chal Mera Putt (2019), which became the highest-grossing Punjabi films overseas. Also, the film was nominated for Best Comedy Film, and Singh was nominated for Best Debut Director at PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2020.
