Sweden is a country in Northern Europe on the Scandinavian Peninsula. It borders Norway to the west; Finland to the northeast; and the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Bothnia to the south and east. At 450,295 km2 (173,860 sq mi), Sweden is the largest country in Northern Europe, the fifth largest in Europe, and the 55th largest country in the world.

Swedish Football Association Sports governing body organizing association football in Sweden

The Swedish Football Association is the governing and body of football in Sweden. It organises the football leagues – Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women – and the men's and women's national teams. It is based in Solna and is a founding member of both FIFA and UEFA. SvFF is supported by 24 district organisations.

Långe Erik Lighthouse

Långe Erik, official name Ölands norra udde, is a Swedish lighthouse built in 1845 and located on a little island, Stora Grundet, in Grankullaviken bay at the north point of Öland, the second largest island in Sweden. The island is connected to Öland by a small bridge built in 1965.

The District Football Associations are the local governing bodies of association football in Sweden. District FAs exist to govern all aspects of local football in their defined areas, providing grassroots support to the Swedish Football Association by promoting and administering football, futsal and beach soccer in their respective districts.

The Swedish Federation for Voluntary Defence Education and Training is a nationwide voluntary defence organization with the aim of strengthening the Swedish Total Defence. The organization was founded in 1943 under the name of the Swedish Central Federation for Voluntary Military Training before changing to its current name in 2006.
