She was taken under tow but her towline parted off the entrance to Dieppe, France, and she was driven onto the breakwater. The crew was rescued by a Dauphin helicopter (Civil and Naval Ensign of France.svg  French Navy). [1]
CSE Prosperity ExpressFlag of Panama.svg Panama The 168-metre (551.2 ft) 28,440-ton bulk carrier ran aground off Hualien, Taiwan after reporting main engine failure and severe weather conditions. [2] [3]
Taigang 13205Flag of the Republic of China.svg Taiwan The 35-metre (114.8 ft) tugboat drifted aground off Hualien, Taiwan after becoming entangled in CSE Prosperity Express (Flag of Panama.svg Panama) tow lines while attempting to assist. The crew was rescued by a Black Hawk helicopter. [4] [5]

Arctic SeaFlag of the United States.svg United States The 41-meter (135 ft) 485-ton fishing vessel ran aground in the Bering Sea just off St. George Island, Alaska in a gale with swells reported to between 10 to 20 feet (3.0 to 6.1 m) and wind gusts reaching up to 65 knots (120 km/h; 75 mph). The crew was taken off by a United States Coast Guard MH-60 helicopter. [14]
UnknownUnknownA fishing vessel capsized in the Qiongzhou Strait off Xuwen, Zhanjiang, China. One crewman died, five others were rescued. [15]

Marinera was reported to have been under escort by a Russian Navy submarine. [16]

Texas LadyFlag of the United States.svg United States The fishing vessel ran aground in the Pacific Ocean at Paradise Point northwest of Port Orford, Oregon. She sustained too much damage for salvage. The fishing vessel will be pulled up on the beach and dismantled on site. [24]
UnnamedFlag of Thailand.svg Thailand A speedboat collided with the fishing trawler Pichaisamut 1 (Flag of Thailand.svg Thailand) and capsized off Koh Khai-Koh Phi Phi killing one of the 55 people on board and injuring 21 others. [25]

The fishing vessel Raka rescued 4 fishermen, the fishing vessel Maverick rescued 4 fishermen, and the fishing vessel Vulcan rescued 1 fisherman. [26]
UnknownUnknownA fishing vessel capsized in the Yellow Sea at a seaweed farm near Tonggae Port, Pado-ri, Sowon-myeon, Taean-gun, South Korea. One crewman died and three others were rescued. [27]

UnknownFlag of Mali.svg Mali A ferry struck rocks and sank while trying to dock at Diré, Tombouctou Region, Mali. 38 people were killed and 23 others survived. [29]

Rona Flag of Iran.svg Iran The 113.98-metre (374.0 ft) 3,262-ton bulk carrier sprung a leak and sank in the Caspian Sea. All fourteen of her crew were rescued. [30]
KH 90026 TSFlag of Vietnam.svg Vietnam The fishing vessel was reported missing in the South China Sea approximately 35 miles off Bãi biển Đại Lãnh, Vietnam. The ship departed from Da Nang bound for gillnet fishing in gale force winds and high waves. To date, there has been no sightings of the ship or the eight crew members, however, one report says a gillnet was spotted floating near Phú Quốc. [31]
