The Czech Republic, also known as Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Historically known as Bohemia, it is bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast. The Czech Republic has a hilly landscape that covers an area of 78,871 square kilometers (30,452 sq mi) with a mostly temperate continental and oceanic climate. The capital and largest city is Prague; other major cities and urban areas include Brno, Ostrava, Plzeň and Liberec.
The Army of the Czech Republic, also known as the Czech Army, is the military service responsible for the defence of the Czech Republic in compliance with international obligations and treaties on collective defence. It is also set to support peacekeeping, rescue and humanitarian operations both within the national territory and abroad. Armed Forces consist of the General Staff, the Land Forces, the Air Force and support units.
The Czech Republic is a Central European country, a member of the European Union, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OSCE), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the United Nations. It entertains diplomatic relations with 191 countries of the world, around half of which maintain a resident embassy in the Czech capital city, Prague.
Václav Havel Airport Prague, formerly Prague Ruzyně International Airport, is the international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The airport was founded in 1937, when it replaced the Kbely Airport. It was reconstructed and extended in 1956, 1968, 1997, and 2006. In 2012, it was renamed after the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic, Václav Havel. It is located at the edge of the Prague-Ruzyně area, next to Kněževes village, 12 km (7 mi) west of the centre of Prague and 12 km (7 mi) southeast of the city of Kladno.
The Czech koruna, also known as the Czech crown, has been the currency of the Czech Republic since 1993. The koruna is one of the European Union's 11 currencies, and the Czech Republic is legally bound to adopt the euro currency in the future.
The RKS Liblice 2 are two 355 m (1,165 ft) tall guyed masts located east of Prague near Liblice, in close proximity of the RKS Liblice 1. These lattice steel towers are built 120 m (390 ft) apart from each other, at which cage aerials are mounted. Designed by Jan Šťovíček, these supertall towers currently stand as the tallest towers in the world used for broadcasting in the medium-wave range. RKS Liblice-2 was built in 1976, and is currently used for broadcasting on 639 kHz. During construction, two new transmitter devices of the type Tesla SRV 750 with an output power of 750 KW were installed. In regular operation, these transmitters are switched in parallel for a transmission power of 1500 KW.
RKS Liblice 1 was a facility for commercial longwave transmission located in the Czech Republic about 33 km (21 mi) east of Prague near Liblice. It used a T-antenna hung up on two 150 m (492 ft) tall insulated towers built of lattice steel. The towers were demolished by explosives on August 11, 2004.
HC Motor České Budějovice is a professional men's ice hockey club, based in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. It is a member of the Czech ELH after reforming when the original club, now known as Mountfield HK, moved to Hradec Králové over a sponsorship dispute. Home stadium of the team ČEZ Motor České Budějovice is Budvar Arena in České Budějovice.
Liblice is a municipality and village in Mělník District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants.

A rare, violent, and deadly long-tracked tornado struck several villages in the Hodonín and Břeclav districts of the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic in the evening of 24 June 2021, killing six people and injuring at least 200 others. The tornado struck seven municipalities, with the worst damage in the villages of Hrušky, Moravská Nová Ves, Mikulčice and Lužice.
