<span class="mw-page-title-main">Banderas monumentales</span>

The banderas monumentales are a collection of tall flagpoles containing large flags of Mexico located throughout Mexico. They are part of a program started in 1999 under President Ernesto Zedillo that is currently administered by the Secretariat of National Defense. The main feature of these monuments is a giant Mexican flag flying off a 50-meter-high (160-ft) flagpole. The size of the flag was 14.3 by 25 metres and it was flown on a pole that measured 50 metres (160 ft) high. In the time after the decree was issued, many more banderas monumentales have been installed throughout the country in various sizes. Many of the locations were chosen due to significant events in Mexican history that occurred there.

Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre, popularly referred to by his nickname "Piojo", is a Mexican former professional footballer and current manager. He is the head coach of Liga MX club Tijuana.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Federico Cantú Garza</span>

Federico Heraclio Cantú Garza was a Mexican painter, engraver and sculptor. While considered to be a member of the Mexican muralism movement, his style was noticeably different, mostly for adhering to older and more academic forms of painting and sculpture. He had his most success exhibiting in the United States and Europe, but he did murals and sculptures in Mexico. His best known work is a sculpture called La maternidad which was adapted as the logo of the Instituto Mexicano de Seguro Social (IMSS).

Carlos Andrés Sánchez Arcosa is a Uruguayan footballer who plays for Peñarol. Mainly an attacking midfielder, he can also play as a right winger. Sánchez is often nicknamed as "Pato" ("Duck") in his native country Uruguay.

The league's first official domestic cup competition took place in May 2017 via the Copa MX Femenil, a now discontinued tournament that was created with the objective of preparing the teams for the inaugural season of the league which began in July 2017. Former Liga MX President, Enrique Bonilla, stated that the league was created in order to nurture the stars of the Mexico women's national football team and to build an infrastructure for women's football in Mexico.
