The vast majority of Belgium's skyscrapers are located in multi-municipal entity of the Brussels-Capital Region, which includes the City of Brussels, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode and Schaerbeek (territories around the Northern Quarter, the nation's largest cluster of high-rise buildings). The rest of the skyscrapers are scattered among Belgium's secondary cities.
Sint-Pieters-Leeuw is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in the Flemish region of Belgium.
The Sint-Pieters-Leeuw Tower, sometimes called the VRT-toren, although there are several by that name, is a 302-metre-tall (991 ft) free standing tower at Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium, built between 1991 and 1994. It is the tallest free standing structure in Belgium. The tower's location, south-west of Brussels, was chosen for its central location in Belgium and to minimize hindrance to Brussels Airport beyond the opposite end of the city. The tower is owned by Norkring België.
Brussels-North railway station is one of the three major railway stations in Brussels, Belgium; the other two are Brussels-Central and Brussels-South. Every regular domestic and international train passing there has a planned stop. The station has 200,000 passengers per week, mainly commuters, making it one of the busiest in Belgium.
The VRT Zendstation Egem is a 305 metres (1,001 ft) tall guyed mast used as a broadcast antenna. It broadcasts the radio and TV programs of the VRT and Q-Music, JOE fm, and Nostalgie Vlaanderen. There are also a number of antennas for mobile communications attached to the mast.
