Magyar Televízió or MTV is a nationwide public television broadcasting organization in Hungary. Headquartered in Budapest, it is the oldest television broadcaster in Hungary and today airs five channels: M1 HD, M2 HD, M3, M4 Sport and M5.
Magyar Rádió was Hungary's publicly funded radio broadcasting organisation until 2015. It was also the country's official international broadcasting station.
Duna TV, full name Duna Televízió — one of Hungary's public television channels. "Duna" is the Hungarian name for the Danube. Duna has been the national main channel of the public media MTVA since 15 March 2015.

The Shoes on the Danube Bank is a memorial erected on 16 April 2005, in Budapest, Hungary. Conceived by film director Can Togay, he created it on the east bank of the Danube River with sculptor Gyula Pauer to honour the Jews who were massacred by fascist Hungarian militia belonging to the Arrow Cross Party in Budapest during the Second World War. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so that their bodies fell into the river and were carried away. The memorial represents their shoes left behind on the bank.
Antal Dunai, also known as Dunai II is a Hungarian former footballer with Yugoslav origins. He became a first division player at Pécsi Dózsa, but he spent the majority of his career at Újpesti Dózsa from 1965 to 1977, when he moved to Debreceni VSC. He played 31 games and scored 9 goals for the Hungary national team. He is most famous for his participation in the gold medal winning Hungarian team on the 1968, and silver medal winning national team on the 1972 Olympics.
László Nagy is a retired Hungarian footballer who played for Újpesti Dózsa. Nagy is most famous for his participation in the gold medal-winning Hungarian team in the 1968 Summer Olympics, and for playing at the 1978 FIFA World Cup. He played 25 games and scored 7 goals for the Hungary national team. He also played a season for FC Locarno.

Pál Vastagh is a Hungarian politician and jurist, who served as Minister of Justice between 1994 and 1998. He joined to the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (MSZMP) in 1966. During the democratic changes in Hungary (1989–1990) he supported the communist rule and the Workers' Militia which Vastagh called the "people's army". In 1989 he was a founding member of the Hungarian Socialist Party. He became ambassador to Ottawa, Canada in 2006; as a result of that he resigned from his parliamentarian seat.
