Mansfield Legacy High School is a public secondary school located in Mansfield, Texas, United States.

Contents

The school is a part of the Mansfield Independent School District and serves sections of the city of Mansfield, Arlington, as well as unincorporated sections of Tarrant County. Legacy is built on the location of the men’s club. When Mansfield was a small rural community (in the southeast of Ft. Worth), the Kowbell Rodeo was a popular stopping place for cowboys. The land on former US Highway 287, now Business 287, was the place to go for an indoor rodeo experience.

History

William H. (Bill) Hogg, a lifetime resident of Mansfield, opened the Kowbell Indoor Rodeo in 1959. Rodeos were held each Saturday night, year around. The Arena was built originally with an open roof and a canvas top that could be lowered for shelter during inclement weather.

The Kowbell Rodeo closed, and the property was sold to MISD in 2004. Because of Mansfield's fast population growth, MISD administrators purchased the historic location to build the district's fourth high school. After clearing land and deciding on blueprints, newly hired principal, David Wright, formed a committee to create the school's name and mascot. Legacy fit perfectly. Broncos fit even better. In June 2006, committee members chose red and black as the colors. Legacy High School was turned over to MISD in June 2007 by the builder and school opened, with over 2,100 students, on August 27, 2007. [3]

In parallel computer architectures, a systolic array is a homogeneous network of tightly coupled data processing units (DPUs) called cells or nodes. Each node or DPU independently computes a partial result as a function of the data received from its upstream neighbours, stores the result within itself and passes it downstream. Systolic arrays were first used in Colossus, which was an early computer used to break German Lorenz ciphers during World War II. Due to the classified nature of Colossus, they were independently invented or rediscovered by H. T. Kung and Charles Leiserson who described arrays for many dense linear algebra computations for banded matrices. Early applications include computing greatest common divisors of integers and polynomials. They are sometimes classified as multiple-instruction single-data (MISD) architectures under Flynn's taxonomy, but this classification is questionable because a strong argument can be made to distinguish systolic arrays from any of Flynn's four categories: SISD, SIMD, MISD, MIMD, as discussed later in this article.

The NBA G League Ignite was a developmental basketball team in the NBA G League. Originally based in Walnut Creek, California with home games planned to have been played at the Ultimate Fieldhouse for their first two seasons, before moving to Henderson, Nevada for their final two seasons of existence, the team was designed to play exhibition games outside the G League's traditional scheduling as part of a one-year development program for elite National Basketball Association (NBA) prospects. Unlike other NBA G League rosters, its roster was primarily made up of both talented young prospects and veteran players meant to guide the younger prospects. The NBA G League Ignite was created on April 16, 2020, and was touted as an alternative to college basketball at the time, offering the young prospects salaries of up to $500,000 for time spent with them at a time when an average G League contract would be of lesser value by comparison.
