Camden is a resort town in Knox County, Maine, United States. The population was 5,232 at the 2020 census. The population of the town more than triples during the summer months, due to tourists and summer residents. Camden is a summer colony in the Mid-Coast region of Maine. Similar to Bar Harbor, Nantucket and North Haven, Camden is well known for its summer community of wealthy Northeasterners, mostly from Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia.

The course was listed in 2007 as Foxburg Country Club and Golf Course on the National Register of Historic Places. The clubhouse contains the American Golf Hall of Fame.
Powelton Club is located between US 9W, Interstate 84, Balmville Road and Chestnut Lane in the hamlet of Balmville, New York, United States, just north of the city of Newburgh, in the Town of Newburgh. Originally established as an archery club, it is one of the five oldest golf courses in the state, and the ten oldest in the U.S. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1999.
Wing Park Golf Course in Elgin, Illinois is the "oldest and best preserved nine-hole municipal golf course in Illinois." The course was constructed during a golf course boom in the Chicago area during first few years of the 1900s. The course was named after William H. Wing, who donated the land for a park in 1902. When the Elgin and Belvidere Electric Company was built only a few blocks away, Elgin developed the southern portion of the property to a golf course. The course was developed by Tom Bendelow, a prolific designer who laid out over six hundred golf courses. Wing Park Golf Course opened on September 5, 1908 and has been in continuous operation since. The Wing Park Golf Club was organized in 1912 to help manage the property. The course was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
Longue Vue Club and Golf Course is a historic golf course and clubhouse in Penn Hills Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. It was founded in the 1920s. It was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1985, and the National Register of Historic Places on May 10, 2005.
The Victoria Park Golf Clubhouse is a heritage-listed former club house at 309 Herston Road, Herston, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Reyburn Jameson and built in 1931 and extended in 1939 and 1948. It is also known as the Pink Palace, after a nightclub which operated out of the building in the late 1970s and 1980s. The building now serves as offices for the Mental Illness Fellowship of Queensland. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 17 December 1999.
The Apawamis Club is a private country club located in Rye, New York, Westchester County, long known for its 18-hole golf course and prominence in the sport of squash. The 1911 U.S. Amateur Championship was contested here, resulting in a playoff between the reigning British Amateur champion, Harold Hilton, and his lesser-known American opponent, Fred Herreshoff. Apawamis is also the home base of a nationally recognized junior squash program and hosts the world renowned Briggs Cup tournament.

Its 18-hole course was laid out in two stages, with its original nine holes designed by Alexander H. Findley in 1900, and later redesigned and expanded by Walter Travis. The club has long been a social scene for the summer elite of the Kennebunkport area, notably including former United States President George H. W. Bush. The club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
The Great Chebeague Golf Club is a country club at 16 Stone Wharf Road on Chebeague Island, Maine. It has a nine-hole golf course on more than 28 acres (11 ha) on the north side of the island. Its clubhouse is a repurposed circa 1807 residence, which is probably one of the oldest buildings used for that purpose in the nation. The club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
The American Boathouse is a historic boathouse on Atlantic Avenue in Camden, Maine. Built in 1904, it is one of the nation's oldest recreational boathouses. It was built to house the 130-foot (40 m) yacht of Chauncey Borland, the first commodore of the Camden Yacht Club. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In early 2015, it was listed for sale at $2.5 million.
The Camden Yacht Club is a yacht club serving the boating community of Penobscot Bay located at 68 Bay View Street in Camden, Maine, United States. Founded in 1906, it offers a variety of programs seasonally, as well as mooring facilities to its members and the general public. Its clubhouse, designed by John Calvin Stevens and built in 1912, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In season the club serves lunch to its members and their guests, and its facilities are available for event rental.

At the time of its nomination it consisted of 26 resources, which included three contributing buildings, one contributing site, nine contributing structures, one contributing object, seven non-contributing buildings, and five non-contributing structures.

The golf course and the main clubhouse have impressive views of New York Harbor, the Atlantic Ocean, and the New Jersey highlands. For more than a century Richmond County has been the only private county club in New York City and is one of the oldest in the United States.
The Shady Rest Golf and Country Club is located at 820 Jerusalem Road in the Township of Scotch Plains in Union County, New Jersey. Established in 1921, it was one of the first, if not the first, African American country clubs in the United States. From 1931 to 1964, it was the home of John Shippen (1879–1968), the first American golf professional and the first African American to compete in the U.S. Open. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2022, for its significance in entertainment, ethnic heritage, recreation, and social history from 1921 to 1964. The township acquired the property in 1938 and converted it to a public golf course in 1964.
