The Monte Vista and Diamond Mountain Vineyard, at 2121 Diamond Mountain Rd. in Calistoga, California, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. The listing included five contributing buildings and a contributing site. [1]

It is a six building farm complex and a vineyard. [2]

The property, then a 120 acres (49 ha) area on the eastern slope of Diamond Mountain, was purchased by Andrew Rasmussen, an immigrant from Denmark, from George W. Briggs in 1895. Ramussen commissioned the building of a farmhouse, carriage house and barn by a John Bradbury. [3]

It was a single family farm until Prohibition began in 1920. [3]

Mountain View Farm (Clifford, Virginia) United States historic place

Mountain View Farm, also known as Spencer Plantation and Mountain View Farm at Rebec Vineyards, is a historic home and farm located near Clifford, Amherst County, Virginia. The property includes an 18th-century mansion, built about 1777, a 19th-century cottage and five other supporting buildings. The main house is a standard timber frame, two-story, three bay, I-house with a rear ell addition. It is sheathed in weatherboard with end chimneys. It was moved to its present site in 1831. The cottage is a one-room building with a lean-to shed addition. It was originally used as a doctor's office by Dr. Paul Carrington Cabell, and probably dates to the 1830s or 40s. Also on the property are the contributing well house, a playhouse, a smokehouse, an ice house, carriage house, and a chicken coop. The property has been home to Rebec Vineyards since 1987.

Bears Den Rural Historic District United States historic place

Bear's Den Rural Historic District is a national historic district located at Bluemont, Clarke County and Loudoun County, Virginia. It encompasses 152 contributing buildings, 12 contributing sites, 8 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object. The district includes a collection of late-19th- and early-20th-century dwellings that were constructed primarily as summer homes by wealthy Washingtonians who were attracted by the mountain's cooler summer climate. Their architecture reflects a number of popular styles, primarily American Craftsman / Bungalow, Colonial Revival, and Queen Anne styles. Other contributing buildings include: farm outbuildings such as barns and stables; domestic outbuildings such as spring houses, meat houses, guest cottages, root cellars, and garages; a former school; and a former church. The contributing sites include the ruins of buildings; including picnic shelters, above-ground cisterns, an old road bed; and the contributing object is a county boundary marker.

Monte Vista (Middletown, Virginia) United States historic place

Monte Vista, also known as Cedar Grove Farm and Heater House, is a historic home located near Middletown, Frederick County, Virginia. It was built in 1883, and is a large three-story, five bay, brick dwelling with Eastlake and Queen Anne design elements. The front facade features a two-story portico with four full-height Tuscan columns, added about 1942. Also on the property are the contributing large bank barn with cupola and weathervane, a scale house dating at least to 1907, a frame summer kitchen, a two level stone ice house, a smokehouse, and a brick bake oven. It was owned by Solomon and Caroline Wunder Heater, who lost two sons fighting for the Confederacy, even though she was a staunch Union sympathizer.

Crabtree–Blackwell Farm is a historic farm located near Blackwell, Washington County, Virginia. The main house is a "saddlebag" type building with 2 1/2-story pens connected by a central limestone rubble chimney stack. The remaining Appalachian vernacular contributing resources are a spring house or milkhouse and log hay barn. The farm is representative of mountain folk culture.

Monte Vista Hotel (Black Mountain, North Carolina) United States historic place

Monte Vista Hotel is a historic hotel building located at Black Mountain, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1937, and is a three-story, L-shaped Colonial Revival style brick building with a hipped roof. A six-room, one-story addition was built about 1940 that connects, by an enclosed breezeway, to a 16-room, one-story, L-shaped annex added in 1980. Also on the property is a contributing two-story, frame farmhouse.

The Thatcher House is a historic brick house located in Kingwood Township, about two miles from Frenchtown, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It is named after Jeremiah Thatcher, a local farmer. Built in 1765, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 4, 2020 for its significance in architecture. It features patterned brickwork with complex diamonds.
