Moundville is a village in southwest Vernon County, Missouri, United States. The population was 124 at the 2010 census.
Moundville was platted in 1869. [4] The village was so named on account of a natural mound near the original town site. [5] A post office called Mounds was established in 1870, and the name was changed to Moundville in 1886. [6]
Moundville is located along Missouri Route 43 approximately 4.5 miles north of Bronaugh and six miles southwest of Nevada. [7]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2), all land. [8]

As of the census [10] of 2010, there were 124 people, 49 households, and 35 families living in the village. The population density was 775.0 inhabitants per square mile (299.2/km2). There were 57 housing units at an average density of 356.3 per square mile (137.6/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.6% White, 0.8% from other races, and 1.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population.
There were 49 households, of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 28.6% were non-families. 22.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 2.97.
The median age in the village was 40 years. 24.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 4.9% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 21.8% were from 25 to 44; 31.5% were from 45 to 64; and 17.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 54.0% male and 46.0% female.

There were 59 housing units at an average density of 355.5 per square mile (137.3/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.06% White and 1.94% Native American.

The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.63.
In the town the population was spread out, with 17.5% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 22.3% who were 65 years of age or older. Moundville is a town in Hale and Tuscaloosa counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. It was incorporated on December 22, 1908. From its incorporation until the 1970 census, it was wholly within Hale County. At the 2010 census the population was 2,427, up from 1,809 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area. Within the town is Moundville Archaeological Site, the location of a prehistoric Mississippian culture political and ceremonial center.
