The Northern Mariana Islands Davis Cup team represents the Northern Mariana Islands in Davis Cup tennis competition and is governed under the Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association (NMITA). Northern Mariana Islands currently compete in the Asia/Oceania Zone of Group V.
Northern Mariana Islanders have previously competed in the Davis Cup as part of the Pacific Oceania along with other athletes from other Oceanian nations which had Class C membership in the International Tennis Federation (ITF). On September 22, the ITF elevated Northern Mariana Islands' membership to Class B enabling it to form teams for the Davis and Billie Jean King Cups. [1]
In 2024, a separate Northern Mariana Islands team was formed and debuted at the 2024 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group V. [2] They won all of their games except against the promotion play-off against the Philippines, a team which played in the higher divisions but was suspended for years due to governing issues in their federation. The CNMI Republican Party is a political party in the Northern Mariana Islands. The Northern Mariana Islands Republican Party is now associated with the United States Republican Party though no Northern Mariana Islands politicians have achieved high-ranking positions in the mainland United States.
The Northern Mariana Islands national football team represents the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in international men's football. The team is controlled by the governing body for football in the Northern Mariana Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association, which is a member of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) and since December 2020 a full member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The association is not a member of the world governing body FIFA, although it had applied for membership, and so while the national team is eligible to enter AFC and EAFF-run competitions, they are currently ineligible for global competitions such as the FIFA World Cup. As such, they do not have an official FIFA ranking. However, the team have been consistently ranked as one of the worst teams in the world on the Elo ratings and were in fact, in July 2016 rated as the worst men's senior international team in the world in a ratings system that also includes a number of other non-FIFA teams.
The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team represents the island nations in Oceania, excluding Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia, in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Oceania Tennis Federation.
The Syria Davis Cup team represents Syria in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Syrian Arab Tennis Federation. Syria currently competes in the Asia/Oceania Zone of Group III.
The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association (NMIFA) is the governing body of football in the Northern Mariana Islands in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It was founded in 2005 by US Attorney Peter Coleman to replace the now-defunct NMISF, which had administered the sport on the islands up to around 2002. The Association received associate membership into the East Asian Football Federation in December 2006, with full membership coming in August 2008. The association was admitted as a provisional member of the Asian Football Confederation in July 2009. On 9 December 2020 during the 30th AFC Congress, the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association (NMIFA) became the 47th full member association of the AFC. In October 2021 FIFA Head of MA Governance Rolf Tanner announced at the 11th Northern Mariana Islands Football Association Ordinary Congress that the global organization had received the island's application for membership.

Voters in the Northern Mariana Islands voted for the governor of the Northern Mariana Islands, the non-voting delegate to the United States House of Representatives, attorney general, 6 seats in the Northern Mariana Islands Senate, all twenty seats in the Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives, 4 mayors, seats for the municipal council, and seats for the board of education. Additionally, a referendum involving changes to the constitution was held.

The 2022 FIBA Micronesia Basketball Cup was an international basketball tournament contested by national teams of Micronesia sub-zone of FIBA Oceania. The inaugural edition of the tournament was hosted by Guam from 8 to 11 June. The hosting has been awarded by FIBA following the decision to postpone the 2022 Micronesian Games to 2023, which was the qualification phase for 2023 Pacific Games.
