Hillsdale is a town in Columbia County, New York, near Hudson, New York and Great Barrington, Massachusetts. State Routes 22 and 23 intersect near the town center, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The town has several restaurants and a general store, among other businesses. Hillsdale is known for its hilly landscape and is near Bash Bish Falls, Taconic State Park, and the Catamount ski area. The Harlem Valley Rail Trail, a 26-mile bike path in two sections, is located not far from the intersection of Routes 22 and 23.

Rhinecliff–Kingston station, is an Amtrak intercity rail station located in Rhinecliff, New York. It serves northern Dutchess County and the nearby Kingston area across the Hudson River on the west bank. The station has one low-level island platform, with a portable wheelchair lift for accessibility. It is served by the Ethan Allen Express, Adirondack, Empire Service and Maple Leaf.
New York State Route 308 (NY 308) is a short state highway, 6.19 miles (9.96 km) in length, located entirely in northern Dutchess County, in the U.S. state of New York. It is a major collector road through a mostly rural area, serving primarily as a shortcut for traffic from the two main north–south routes in the area, U.S. Route 9 (US 9) and NY 9G, to get to NY 199 and the Taconic State Parkway. The western end of NY 308 is located within Rhinebeck's historic district, a 2.6-square-mile (6.7 km2) historic district comprising 272 historical structures. The highway passes near the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, several historical landmarks, and briefly parallels the Landsman Kill.
Rhinecliff is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located along the Hudson River in the town of Rhinebeck in northern Dutchess County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of Rhinecliff was 425.
The Hudson River Historic District, also known as Hudson River Heritage Historic District, is the largest Federally designated district on the mainland of the contiguous United States. It covers an area of 22,205 acres extending inland roughly a mile (1.6 km) from the east bank of the Hudson River between Staatsburg and Germantown in Dutchess and Columbia counties in the U.S. state of New York. This area includes the riverfront sections of the towns of Clermont, Red Hook, Rhinebeck and part of Hyde Park. This strip includes in their entirety the hamlets of Annandale, Barrytown, Rhinecliff and the village of Tivoli. Bard College and two protected areas, Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park and Tivoli Bays Unique Area, are also within the district.
Ercildoun, population about 100, is an unincorporated community in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The hamlet was founded by Quakers and was an early center of the abolitionist movement. In 1985 the entire hamlet, including 31 properties, was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. Of these properties two were vacant land, 14 were significant buildings, ten were contributing buildings, and five buildings, built in the 1950s, were non-contributing. The Lukens Pierce House, an octagon house listed separately on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is located about half a mile northwest of the hamlet. Ercildoun is one of about ten hamlets in the township, which has no cities or towns, but has 31 sites listed on the National Register. It is one of the larger hamlets, located near the center of the township, and historically among the best known. The city of Coatesville is about 3 miles north.

The Morton Memorial Library is an historic structure along Kelly Street in the hamlet of Rhinecliff, New York, just east of the Hudson River.
Riverside Methodist Church and Parsonage is a historic Methodist church and parsonage on Charles and Orchard Streets in Rhinecliff, Dutchess County in the U.S. state of New York. The church was built about 1859 and the parsonage about 1888. The church is a small, two-story, rectangular stone building in the Gothic Revival style. It features a steeply pitched gable roof covered in polychrome slate. It has an open-frame bell tower and is built into the side of a hill. The parsonage is a two-story, T-shaped frame dwelling topped by a cross-gable roof. Also on the property is a contributing garage.
Ford's Store is a historic general store located in the hamlet of Oak Hill in the town of Durham in Greene County, New York. It was built in 1870 as a two-story commercial building in the Italianate style, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The restored storefront is composed of a recessed entry flanked by display windows. John Bonafide, preservation analyst from the New York State Parks Commission, said of the building, “As constructed, Ford’s Store is a representative example of Italianate style commercial architecture, popular in America during the third quarter of the nineteenth century. Built on the site of an earlier store and harness shop, the building is architecturally significant as an intact example of simple, mid-nineteenth century commercial architecture in the hamlet of Oak Hill. Today, the Ford’s Store building is one of two intact commercial storefronts to survive in the community. Despite years of neglect and damage, Ford’s store, as restored, survives with a high degree of its architectural integrity.”
Schodack Landing Historic District is a national historic district located at Schodack Landing in Rensselaer County, New York. It consists of 86 contributing buildings located in the hamlet of Schodack Landing. The district includes a variety of buildings dated from the 18th through early 20th centuries. They are mostly residential buildings, but include a post office, two churches, a nursing home, a tavern, and a store. There are notable buildings in the Greek Revival and Italianate styles.
The Bedford Village Historic District is a national historic district in Bedford, Westchester County, New York. The district contains 80 contributing buildings and one contributing site. It encompasses most of the original 1680 hamlet and is laid out in a typical village green plan. Notable buildings include the court house (1787), library (1807), school house (1829), post office, and Presbyterian church (1872). The buildings are good examples of the Greek Revival and Gothic Revival styles. Two of the buildings are now museums.
Heermance House and Law Office is a historic home located at Rhinecliff, Dutchess County, New York. Located on the property is a cottage, built about 1858 in the Picturesque Italianate style; the Gothic-inspired law office building, built about 1886; and a garage, built about 1900. The house is a two-story, three bay building with a broad picturesque verandah, ornamental brackets, and pierced woodwork. It has a long, two story, gable roofed rear wing. The law office building is a small, one story frame structure sheathed in clapboard.
Rhinecliff Hotel is a historic hotel located at Rhinecliff, Dutchess County, New York. It was built about 1855 and is a two to three story, "L" shaped frame building. It is built into the side of a steep hill and features a two-story verandah and cross-gable roof. Also on the property is a contributing carriage shed / garage.
The Clarendon Stone Store, also known as the Old Stone Store or the Copeland Store, is an historic commercial building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in the hamlet of Clarendon, in the town of Clarendon, New York, the building sits at the corner of New York State Route 31A and New York State Route 237.
