Cades Cove is an isolated valley located in the Tennessee section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The valley was home to numerous settlers before the formation of the national park. Today Cades Cove, the single most popular destination for visitors to the park, attracts more than two million visitors annually because of its well preserved homesteads, scenic mountain views, and abundant display of wildlife. The Cades Cove Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Three Churches is an unincorporated community in Hampshire County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The town is located north of Romney along Jersey Mountain Road at a crossroads with Three Churches Hollow Road. Originally known as Jersey Mountain, Three Churches was renamed for the three historic white wooden churches located there: Mount Bethel Church, Mount Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, and Branch Mountain United Methodist Church. The Three Churches Post Office is no longer in service.
Lott Cary was an African-American Baptist minister and lay physician who was a missionary leader in the founding of the colony of Liberia on the west coast of Africa in the 1820s. He founded the first Baptist church in 1822, now known as Providence Baptist Church of Monrovia. He served as the colony's acting governor from August 1828 to his death in November that year.
The Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church is a historic site in Nassauville, Florida. It is located on County Road 107. On August 28, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, originally named the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, is a landmark church located on West Washington Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The church was designed by architect Hugh M.G. Garden and was built in 1901. The church was sold to its current owners in 1947. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on February 16, 1989, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
The tallest object on the downtown skyline of Lynchburg, Virginia, Court Street Baptist Church stands as a testament to the black Baptist population of Lynchburg. Organized in 1843, the congregation—originally known as the African Baptist Church of Lynchburg—was the first of its kind in the city. The church was designed by R.C. Burkholder, and completed in 1880.

It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1980 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building now houses the Motor City Missionary Baptist Church.

The district encompasses 161 contributing buildings in a historically African-American section of Elizabeth City. The district developed from the mid-19th to mid-20th century, and includes representative examples of Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Bungalow, and American Foursquare style architecture. Notable contributing buildings include the Sawyer–Pailin–Overman House, Antioch Presbyterian Church, (former) St. Catherine Catholic Church (1941), Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church (1904), Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church (1888), (former) St. Phillips Episcopal Church (1893), the Sundry Shop, Rex Cleaning Works (1932), Good Samaritan Hall (1896), and Republican Star Odd Fellows Hall.

It is a one-story, wood-frame building constructed in 1886 by Eld. Isaac Hewitt as a branch of the Second Old School Baptist Church of Roxbury. The interior features a traditional meeting house plan.

Mount Sinai Baptist Church, also known as Mount Sinai Baptist Church and Cemetery, is a historic African-American Baptist church and cemetery located at 6100 Holy Neck Road in Suffolk, Virginia. It was built in 1921 by members of the church who were brick masons in the Victorian Gothic Revival style. It features a two towered façade, pointed Gothic-arched windows of stained glass imported from Germany, and prominent Classical porch. The church replaced a frame church erected in 1881. Associated with the church is a cemetery established about 1920.
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church at 500 Clay St in Downtown Houston, Texas. It was historically a part of the Fourth Ward. As of 2012 it was the only remaining piece of the original Fourth Ward east of Interstate 45.
Mount Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1924, and is a one-story, rectangular brick church building on a raised basement in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a tall projecting, corner tower. A two-story addition for Sunday School classrooms, a kitchen, and dining area was built in the 1970s.
Castlerun Historic District is a national historic district located at Castlerun near Castlewood, Russell County, Virginia, United States. The district encompasses three contributing buildings that served the spiritual, educational, and social needs of this isolated far southwest Virginia community. They are the Castlerun School, the Castle Run Missionary Baptist Church (1924), and a frame privy (1926). The one-room school and church are frame, weatherboarded, rectangular buildings with a steep gable roofs. The school closed in 1951.

Mount Moriah Baptist Church and Cemetery is a historic African-American Baptist church and cemetery located at Roanoke, Virginia. It was built about 1908, and is a small, one-story, rectangular frame church sheathed in weatherboard. It consists of a main sanctuary, a front vestibule, and a rear chancel bay. The frame building sits on a raised foundation of uncoursed fieldstones. The associated burial ground contains over 100 interments from the 1870s through the present.
