Owsley Bridge is a historic bridge spanning the Snake River on the Twin-Gooding county line in southern Idaho, United States, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Description

The bridge located about 3.6 miles (5.8 km) south Hagerman, approximately 600 feet (180 m) north of the junction of old U.S. Route 30 (US‑30) and Bell Rapids Road, and was on the former routing of US‑30. It is a cantilevered Warren truss bridge built in 1920–21. [2]

The bridge cost about $127,000 (equivalent to $1.82 million in 2019). The engineer for the state of Idaho was Charles A. Kyle of the Bureau of Highways, Division of Public Works. The builder was United States Bridge Company of Boise, Idaho; the fabricator was the Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 18, 1998. [1]

Jefferson Street Viaduct United States historic place

The Jefferson Street Viaduct is an historic structure located in Ottumwa, Iowa, United States. The riveted Warren deck truss bridge was completed in 1936. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 as a part of the Highway Bridges of Iowa MPS.

Upper Twin Falls Bridge NRHP-listed bridge in Michigan

The Upper Twin Falls Bridge is a bridge that spans the Menominee River linking Breitung Township, Michigan, to Florence County, Wisconsin. Completed in 1910, construction was prompted by the erection of a dam downstream. The bridge was closed to automobile traffic in 1971. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December 2012.

Black River Bridge (Pocahontas, Arkansas) United States historic place

The Black River Bridge carries U.S. Route 67 (US 67) across the Black River in Pocahontas, Arkansas. The bridge is a twin span, each carrying two lanes of traffic. The northern bridge was a historic structure, built in 1934 by the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2016 demolition began on the northern bridge, and it was delisted in 2018. This bridge consisted of two Parker trusses, one on either side of a Warren swing span, and trestled approaches, giving it a total length of 1,255 feet (383 m). It was one of three surviving swing bridges in the state. The southern bridge is a modern steel girder structure, built in 1986, whose construction rendered the swing section inoperative.

Twin Bridge (Fayette, Iowa) United States historic place

The Twin Bridge is a historic structure located in Twin Bridge Park southwest of Fayette, Iowa, United States. It spans the Little Volga River for 80 feet (24 m). The Fayette County Board of Supervisors contracted with N.M. Stark and Company of Des Moines to build almost all of its bridges between 1900 and 1913. This concrete Luten arch bridge was completed about 1910 using a patented design by Indianapolis engineer Daniel Luten. Stark was a licensee for Luten and they built multiple bridges using his designs under a patent royalty agreement. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
