Pittsfield East School is located in Pittsfield, Illinois, Pike County, United States. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
The Dubuque County Jail is a historic building at 36 East 8th Street in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1858, the jail is an example of the uncommon Egyptian Revival style. It is architecturally a highly original work of John F. Rague, who also designed the 1837 Old Capitol of Illinois and the 1840 Territorial Capitol of Iowa. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture in 1987. It served as a jail for more than a century, became a museum in 1975, and was converted into county offices in 2016.
The Peterstown House is a historic building located in Waterloo, Illinois. The saltbox building was constructed in the mid-1830s; an addition was placed on its north side around the 1860s. Emory Peter Rogers, for whom the house and surrounding neighborhood were named, was the first owner of the building. The building served as an inn and stagecoach stop along the Kaskaskia-Cahokia Trail, which was the first road in Illinois. The stagecoach route connected the French settlements at Kaskaskia and Cahokia. The Peterstown House is the only intact inn which still stands along the trail; while another building in Waterloo once served as an inn on the trail, it has been extensively remodeled. In the late nineteenth century, the Peterstown House became a local social hall.

The Charter Oak Schoolhouse is a historic octagonal school building in Schuline, Illinois, located on the Evansville/Schuline Road between Schuline and Walsh. Built in 1873, it served as a public primary school until 1953. The school was one of 53 octagonal schoolhouses built in the United States, of which only three survive. The building is now used as a museum by the Randolph County Historical Society and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The James Robert Williams House is a historic house located at 310 E. Main St. in Carmi, Illinois. The house was built in 1896 for James Robert Williams, a U.S. Representative and political ally of William Jennings Bryan. Prominent residential architect George Franklin Barber designed the red brick house in a blend of the Romanesque Revival and Queen Anne styles. The house has three corner towers, two with crenellated tops and one with a double bell roof; the towers cause the building to resemble a castle. The house's front entrance is surrounded by an arched porch with a balcony on its roof. A loggia is located above the entrance on the house's third level.
The Robinson-Stewart House is a historic house located at 110 S. Main Cross St. in Carmi, Illinois. Built in 1814 by John Craw, the house is the oldest in Carmi and one of the oldest in Illinois. Carmi was founded in an 1816 meeting at the house; the community's early settlers met there to choose the community's name, a reference to a biblical figure, and voted to plat its land. The house also served as White County's courthouse until 1828, when a separate courthouse building was constructed. In 1835, U.S. Senator John McCracken Robinson purchased the house; Robinson lived in the home until his death in 1843.
The L. Haas Store is a historic commercial building located at 219 E. Main St. in Carmi, Illinois. The store was built in 1896 for merchant Louis Haas, a Jewish immigrant from Germany. Though the store was named for and run by Haas, he did not actually own the building, which was the property of local businessman John Storms. The store was designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival style. The first floor of the store has a cast iron storefront manufactured by the J. B. Mesker Company; the company also made the building's ornate iron cornice and the iron grilles above the second floor. The second floor features six tall, arched windows, which are topped by a thin strip of curved limestone. The store now houses a history museum run by the White County Historical Society.
