Reasonable Woman is the upcoming tenth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Sia,expected to be released by Monkey Puzzle and Atlantic Records on 3 May 2024. The album was preceded by the singles "Gimme Love","Dance Alone","Incredible","I Forgive You","Fame Won't Love You",and features collaborations with several artists.
In 2016,Sia released her album This Is Acting ,which comprised mostly songs she had originally written for other artists. [2] In 2018,she formed the supergroup LSD with Labrinth and Diplo; [3] they released their debut album in April 2019. [4] In February 2020,Sia announced that she had two new albums "waiting to go", [5] one of which would be her version of the soundtrack to the film Music,a musical drama film which she wrote and directed. [6] [7] Titled Music –Songs from and Inspired by the Motion Picture ,it was released in February 2021 alongside the film. [8] In a 2020 interview with Zach Sang,Sia stated that the other album would be titled Reasonable Woman. [9]
Reasonable Woman will be released through Monkey Puzzle and Atlantic Records on 3 May 2024. [10] It will be available on streaming,digital download,CD,and various vinyl LP variants. On 7 February 2024,Sia announced Reasonable Woman's release date and track listing. [11] [12]
The album's lead single "Gimme Love" was released on 13 September 2023. [13] On 7 February 2024,the second single,"Dance Alone",a collaboration with Kylie Minogue,was released. [14] On 5 April 2024,the third single,"Incredible",a collaboration with Labrinth,was released. [15] The fourth single,"I Forgive You" followed a week later on 12 April 2024, [16] [17] and the fifth single,"Fame Won't Love You",a Paris Hilton-assisted track,was released on 19 April. [18] [19]
The album's cover artwork features Sia sitting next to a young girl. Both are wearing pink bows in their hair,with Sia also wearing her signature curly,oversized wig. [20] The "original" artwork,which is featured on various physical releases of the album, [1] features Sia standing by a pool in an orange suit,with her feet,hands,and head covered in white,grey,and black shades. After finishing her campaign with her previous album Golden (2019), Minogue was inspired by a Studio 54-esque section on her Golden Tour to create a disco-themed album. Early sessions began in 2019-2020, but were temporarily halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and widespread lockdowns. As a result, Minogue continued to work on the album remotely from London, using GarageBand and Logic Pro for the first time.
