Shukrawar Peth is a peth located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. [1]

Earlier know as Visapur, this was the first local peth, set up in 1734, and named by Bajirao I, as people began to reside in the area beginning with his era. It housed several military establishments of the time, which included a gun foundry, stables, infantry lines, a gymnasium, and military headquarters. [2]

Raviwar Peth is one of the Peths in the city of Pune, India. The ancient name of this place was Malkapur. This area was developed by Nilopant Mujumdar in 1670. It was an important business center for merchants, bankers and jewelers, who also resided here. At it's peak in the 1790s, the peth was the richest and thickly populated with about 1500 houses. Bohri merchants, who specialised in tin and iron, also settled here when they were invited by the government.

Girish Bapat was an Indian politician who served as a member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha. He was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Pune, Maharashtra in the 2019 Indian general election as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. Earlier he served as the Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Food and Drugs Administration and Parliamentary Affairs in the First Fadnavis ministry. He was a member of 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and one of the top Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Vidhan Sabha. He was elected from Kasba Peth constituency to the Vidhan Sabha in five consecutive elections since 1995.

Bhavani Peth Assembly constituency was one of the 288 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra a western state of India. Bhavani Peth was also part of Pune Lok Sabha constituency. Bhavani Peth seat existed till 2004 elections until Kothrud Assembly constituency was formed in the delimitation of 2008.
