Tiger Transit is the Princeton University shuttle service in and around its campus in Princeton and other nearby areas of Mercer County, New Jersey. Tiger Transit operates six routes within the campus and around the city of Princeton. WeDriveU operates the service. [1] [2] [3]

Routes

All Tiger Transit routes are free of charge and only operate on weekdays, with the exception of Route 5 which only operates on weekends. Routes 1, 2, and 3 are open to the public and serve various areas around the greater Princeton area. Route 4 essentially functions as an alternative to the Princeton Branch, locally known as the Dinky, and therefore is only available to University ID holders. Route 5, officially known as the Weekend Shopper, combines service around most of the Princeton campus areas with service along US-1 to the Windsor Green and West Windsor Plaza malls in West Windsor, and the Quaker Bridge Mall in Clarksville. Fleet

The Princeton University Tiger Transit fleet is operated by WeDriveU, which has operated the service since February 2021 when the former operator First Transit lost their contract. [1] [2] [3] [5] The initial fleet under WeDriveU consisted of 14 New Flyer D40LF transit buses from Orange County Transportation Authority and various Ford cutaways. All former OCTA New Flyer D40LFs have since been replaced by fully electric buses (NFI XE35 CHARGE NG), and the Ford cutaways are expected to be replaced as well in 2025.

The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) oversees and coordinates public transportation in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, offering fixed-route bus service, paratransit service, and senior van service. The Champaign–Urbana Mass Transit District is a mass transit system that operates in the Champaign–Urbana metropolitan area in eastern Illinois. MTD is headquartered in Urbana and operates its primary hub at the intermodal Illinois Terminal in downtown Champaign. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 7,797,100, or about 24,200 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023.

On September 27, 2023, Academy acquired James River Transportation, which operates in Virginia. Academy is the third-largest motorcoach operator in the United States and Canada.

Cambus is an American public transport bus system, primarily serving the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, Iowa. The service is intended to provide transportation for students, faculty, and staff around the main campus, University of Iowa Research Park, residence halls, and commuter parking lots. Cambus is a zero-fare service open to the general public, and provides approximately 3,000,000 rides per year. It is one of three transit systems in the Iowa City area, the other two being Iowa City Transit and Coralville Transit, and Cambus shares several stops with them.

Bear Transit is the bus service operated by the Department of Parking and Transportation of the University of California, Berkeley. Its fleet includes a combination of shuttle vans and passenger buses, with all of its passenger buses formerly owned by AC Transit. In the early 2000s the passenger buses used were refurbished by AC Transit. Bear Transit connects various areas of the university, including student housing, the main campus, the Hill area, Downtown Berkeley, and distant locations such as Lawrence Hall of Science in the East Bay Hills and the Clark Kerr Campus south of the main campus. It also provides shuttle service to the Richmond Field Station (RFS), a research facility also owned by the University, located in Richmond.

The Wolfline is an area bus service serving the students, staff, faculty, and general public on and around North Carolina State University's campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. As of Fall 2017, Wolfline is operated by Transdev, after being operated by First Transit between 2007 and 2017, under contract with NC State's Transportation department. The Wolfline was the first mass transit organization in the state to exclusively use 'clean' diesel engines. Wolfline access is unrestricted to the public and is a zero-fare service. The preceding contractor was Veolia Transport. The Wolfline began operating in August 1980 with one route.

The University of Minnesota's Campus Shuttle is a zero-fare bus service operating on the University's Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. In 2009, the system carried more than 3.9 million riders, making it the second-busiest transit system in Minnesota after the Twin Cities's primary provider Metro Transit. It outpaces all of the suburban transit providers in the Twin Cities, as well as providers in other metropolitan areas in the state. Duluth Transit Authority serving Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin, is the state's third-busiest provider, while the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority ranks fourth. The shuttles are operated under contract by First Transit through the University's Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) department.

Shuttle–UM is a transit system for the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD), which constitutes the UM acronym of the company, that operates as a unit of the university's Department of Transportation Services. The system is student-run and is supported by student fees and the university's Student Affairs department. Its fleet consists of over 60 vehicles and transports approximately three million rides a year. The system provides four different services: commuter, evening, charter, and demand response. The latter consists of a paratransit service and a call response curb-to-curb service during the evening, while the former consists of a bus service that runs for 24 hours, seven days a week. Implied by its name, the bus service routes "shuttle" passengers to and from the university with over 20 different routes. Paid upon admission by students to the university, the services are complimentary and only certain services require university identification badges. In 2012, the company expanded to provide service to the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) campus under the name, UM Shuttle. Additionally, a new facility was built to house Shuttle–UM's operations and fleet within the campus after over 30 years of being housed off campus.

Rutgers Campus Buses are a zero-fare bus service used by students at Rutgers University campuses. It is the second-largest bus service in New Jersey after NJ Transit, and one of the largest university bus systems in the United States. Service is provided by Transdev year-round, including weekends and holidays. Late night shuttle service for students is provided by Rutgers Department of Transportation Services when the New Brunswick campus transit system is not in service. Football and other event shuttles are operated by Academy Bus Lines.

LSU Tiger Trails is the alternative transportation system providing bus service for students, faculty, staff and visitors, both on and off the campus of Louisiana State University. The LSU transit system is operated by First Transit, under contract with LSU's Office of Parking & Transportation Services, formerly known as the Office of Parking, Traffic & Transportation. There are a total of 31 buses in the Tiger Trails fleet. During daytime operating hours, the transit system is capable of operating up to 21 buses during peak hours with three back-up, and six small buses for on demand service.

The Ryde is a bus service that provides transportation to the Brigham Young University (BYU) community in Provo, Utah, United States. The service is owned and operated by Student Movement, Inc. (SMI) and operates under the brand, "The Ryde". Although The Ryde began as a limited service paid shuttle bus, but the fall of 2015 it expanded to limited-service bus routes that are free to BYU students.

Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) is a free public transportation system at the Ohio State University's Columbus campus. The system consists of five bus routes that connect various points of Ohio State's campus, and the immediate off-campus area. The system connects with the Central Ohio Transit Authority's bus routes at several points.

It has several categories of routes: Local, Flyer and Limited, Feeder, Crosstown, Special services and UT Shuttles.
