This is a timeline of the War in Donbass , from 1 to 30 June 2017. The timeline follows an ongoing conflict between Ukraine and anti-government pro-Russian separatists supported by Russian troops [1] in the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine.

1 June

The ATO HQ reported in the morning that pro-Russian forces had opened fire on 35 occasions on Ukrainian positions the previous day (including on 12 occasions in the outskirts of Donetsk city, on 15 occasions in the region of Mariupol, and on 8 occasions in Luhansk region [2] ). One civilian resident was wounded. [6] [7] Authorities from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic recorded three attacks by the Ukrainian military inside the republic's boundaries. Ukrainian forces used 120 mm mortars and armoured fighting vehicles to attack pro-Russian positions at Frunze, Horoshche and Sanzharivka. [8]

One civilian resident was injured. There were two proposals for a new ceasefire, one from ATO headquarters, the other from the contact group in Minsk. The Ukrainian military planned a truce between 24 and 26 June to coincide with the end of the school year. [210] The contact group offered a "harvest" ceasefire from 24 June until 31 August in order to allow famers to harvest crops. [211]
