The Toro Rosso STR4 was a Formula One car which Scuderia Toro Rosso used in the 2009 Formula One season. The car was revealed to be a Red Bull RB5 with a 2008-spec Ferrari 056 engine in Barcelona on March 9, 2009. It was revealed before the testing session. [1]
The STR4 was driven by Sébastien Bourdais and Sébastien Buemi for the first half of the season. Jaime Alguersuari replaced Bourdais from the Hungarian Grand Prix onwards.
Buemi scored a 7th place on his debut race at the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. His teammate Sebastian Bourdais also scored points that race. [2] He went on to finish 8th in China, before finishing 7th and 8th in the final two races in Brazil and Abu Dhabi. [3] [4] [5]
Bourdais scored an 8th place at the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. His teammate Sébastien Buemi also scored points that race. However Bourdais had poor results during the 2008 season, scoring only 4 points unlike his 2008 teammate Sebastian Vettel who scored 35 and a race win in Monza. At the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix, he was replaced by Jaime Alguersuari following a similar season of poor results, having scored only 2 points after the German Grand Prix before he was fired.
Alguersuari made his debut at the Hungarian Grand Prix as his predecessor Sébastien Bourdais was replaced following a string of poor results. [6] However he only managed to finish 3 races out of the 8 he raced in, with a best result of 14th in the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Takuma Sato, nicknamed "Taku", is a Japanese professional racing driver. He competes part-time in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 11 Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing. Sato is a two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, having won the event in 2017 and 2020. He was the first Asian driver to win the Indianapolis 500, and the twentieth driver to win the race more than once. Before winning the Indianapolis 500, Sato became the first Japanese-born driver to win an IndyCar Series race when he won the 2013 Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Vitantonio "Tonio" Liuzzi is an Italian professional racing driver who formerly raced in Formula One for the Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Force India and HRT teams.
Scuderia Toro Rosso, commonly known as Toro Rosso or by its abbreviation STR, was an Italian Formula One racing team. It was one of two Formula One teams owned by Austrian beverage company Red Bull, the other being Red Bull Racing. Toro Rosso functioned as a junior team to Red Bull Racing, with the aim of developing the skills of promising drivers for the senior team. The team made its racing début in the 2006 season, moving to complete independence from its sister team in 2010. The team changed its name to Scuderia AlphaTauri in 2020 to promote parent company Red Bull's fashion label of the same name.

The Toro Rosso STR2 is the car with which the Scuderia Toro Rosso team competed in the 2007 Formula One season. It was unveiled on 13 February 2007 at the Circuit de Catalunya. The car is, controversially, a variant of the Red Bull RB3 chassis. It was initially driven by Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed, until Speed was replaced by Sebastian Vettel at the Hungaroring for the remainder of the season. The car in a modified form was also used to compete in the first five races of the 2008 Formula One season. The modified car was driven by Sébastien Bourdais, four-consecutive-time Champ Car winner, and Vettel. The STR2 was the first-ever Toro Rosso F1 car to use the mandatory 90-degree Formula One V8 engine configuration but Toro Rosso opted for the 2006-spec Ferrari 056 instead of the 2007-spec because of 1-year old Toro Rosso engine policy and as a cost-saving measure.
Sébastien Olivier Buemi is a Swiss professional racing driver, who competes in the FIA Formula E Championship for Envision Racing. He competed for Scuderia Toro Rosso in Formula One from 2009 to 2011. After leaving Formula One, Buemi became a reserve driver for Scuderia Toro Rosso's sister team, Red Bull Racing from 2012 to 2013. He returned to Red Bull Racing in 2019 as a reserve driver.

The 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the seventeenth and final Formula One motor race of the 2009 Formula One season. It took place on 1 November 2009 at the 5.554 kilometres (3.451 mi) Hermann Tilke-designed Yas Marina Circuit. It was the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and also the first ever day-night Grand Prix. The race was won by Sebastian Vettel for Red Bull, with polesitter Lewis Hamilton having retired due to a brake failure. This was the last Formula One race for Kazuki Nakajima and Giancarlo Fisichella and the Brawn GP, BMW Sauber and Toyota teams (respectively). As of 2022 this is the last race to feature in-race refuelling, as the practice was banned for the 2010 season.
Jaime Víctor Alguersuari Escudero, also known as Jaume Alguersuari, and Squire is a Spanish DJ and retired racing driver best known for competing in Formula One between 2009 and 2011, and for being the 2008 British Formula 3 champion. He is the son of Jaime Alguersuari, Sr., a former motorcyclist and racing driver.

Jean-Éric Vergne, also known as JEV, is a French racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula E Championship with DS Penske. He became the 2017–18 ABB Formula E Champion, after clinching fifth in the New York ePrix in 2018, and he became the first Formula E driver to win two consecutive championships after his repeat success in the 2018–19 season. He competed in Formula One for Scuderia Toro Rosso from 2012 to 2014, and was a Ferrari test and development driver from 2015 to 2016. He won the British Formula 3 Championship in 2010 and then finished runner up to teammate Robert Wickens in the 2011 Formula Renault 3.5 Series season.
The Toro Rosso STR5 was a Formula One motor racing car designed and built by Scuderia Toro Rosso for the 2010 season. The car was a significant change for the team as it represented the first chassis they had indigenously-designed and built on their own; prior to 2010, the car was identical to that of parent team Red Bull Racing, circumventing a ban on customer chassis by having both cars designed by a third party. The car, driven by an unchanged lineup from 2009 of Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari, was unveiled at the first official test of 2010 on February 1, at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

It was the nineteenth and final round of the 2011 Formula One season. The 71-lap race was won by Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber. Sebastian Vettel, Webber's teammate finished in second place to complete Red Bull's third 1–2 of the season; Jenson Button finished in third position, to complete the podium for the McLaren team.

The 70-lap race was won by McLaren's Jenson Button, in his 200th Grand Prix start, after starting from third on the grid. Championship leader Sebastian Vettel, who started the race from pole position, finished in second place for Red Bull Racing, and Fernando Alonso completed the podium in third position for Ferrari.

It is the second car that the team has built entirely on their own following the introduction of regulations that banned the use of "customer chassis", a chassis developed by one team and purchased by another. Toro Rosso STR6 was also the first-ever Faenza-based Formula One car to utilize Pirelli tyres since 1990 Minardi M190.
The Toro Rosso STR7 is a Formula One racing car designed by Scuderia Toro Rosso for use in the 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship. It was the seventh car run by the team, and the third car that they had developed since the introduction of rules in 2010 prohibiting teams from using a "customer chassis", or a design that had previously been used by another team. The car was driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne, after the team elected not to renew the contracts of former drivers Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari, and was launched on 7 February 2012 at the first winter test of the season at Jerez de la Frontera.
